Hey guys. I'm new on this forum and also have had tinnitus for two years now. My tinnitus is still not gone, but I remain hopeful.
Anyway, I wanted to share my dad's story.
My dad had tinnitus (he said it was like a train riding in his head) and some other symptoms next to it. He went to the doctor and ENT a couple of times and got different sprays and medicines, but nothing helped. So he gave up and just went on with his life. Over the years, he also had jaw problems, not sure if it's related.
Anyway, after a couple of years some garbage came out of his ears and his ears had a very bad smell. This was something new and obviously weird, so he went to the doctor again. He was sent to a different ENT. Got some tubes and all symptoms and his tinnitus went away. Like it never existed. Obviously he didn't have auditive tinnitus but an underlying problem.
Just wanted to say, even if you have tinnitus for years it can still go away.
I'm new to this forum and I'd like it if someone read my story and maybe knows what is up with my symptoms.
