Hello all,

I poked around and thought this to be an interesting and informative site, and would love to get some of your thoughts on my case.

I'm a 30's male in good shape and have had high pitched ringing in my left ear for as long as I can remember. I have barely measurable high pitched hearing loss in said ear and personally attribute it more to the T covering up the sound than my inability to detect it.

The interesting parts:

I can change the pitch and volume (both up) by pushing my jaw forward. I have also recently realized that I have been existing with a clamped jaw and have worked on consciously relaxing.

If I push my head forward or to the left against resistance the volume and pitch increase as well, but not backwards or to the right.

I have recently experimented with trying to consciously try to control it, and can lower the volume if I'm sitting alone in a quiet room. I've actually made it move to my right ear before. I cannot hear my T most of the time unless I'm in a quiet environment.

I'd love to know thoughts about what to do or where to start trying to work on this.
Thanks!

I'm not quite sure what are you asking for? Do you have problems coping with your tinnitus? Is it affecting your life?

If not, the you should probably forget about the whole thing ;)

There is no cure unfortunately, and not much can be done. The forum members can however give some advice on how to minimizer the impact it has on your life.

It seems like your T is mild, please don't think about it too much

Protect your ears when in loud environments and your will be fine (earplugs!)

Take care

I'm not quite sure what are you asking for?

I was under the impression that there are ways of getting rid of it in certain circumstances. I was hoping specifically that because physical manipulation can change it, that there would be something I can do.

It is usually mild, but there are times when it screams in quiet rooms.

You could try a nightguard? (Plque occlusale). Maybe you have jaw problems/misalignement.
Maybe an osteopath could help you!
And if it does not bother you, let your brain forget the sound!
