The BTA mentioned electrical stimulation to the audiotory nerve to treat tinnitus, this is great but wouldn't curing hearing loss have the same effect of restoring input to the audiotory nerve and essentially killing two birds with one stone? I'm super happy people could get real help by this method but I personally am hoping Frequency Therapeutics, Otonomy and or Decibel beats them too it. Regardless on my opinion on wanting my hearing restored the more people that help the better.

The more and more I contemplate shitnitus the more I think our only real hope is regeneration therapy and there will not be a medicine to make it stop that doesnt have adverse side effects that are worse than the tinnitus itself. Our nerves and neurons are doing exactly what they are supposed to and we dont need/want a chemical that messes with than.

Why use our tax money for basic nescessities, when you can kill middle easterners?
One tomahawk cruise missile is about 1.8 million dollars. The DOD gave 2 million to Frequencytx. Soldiers are getting hearing loss from big bombs n sheeit. Pretty much shows they dgaf about soldiers.

theres probably 60-120 active members with
600 guest (which aren't mentioned)
a good majority of other users may have contributing knowledge and left
but without a doubt just like with any website the majority of accounts are throw aways.

If this website really did have 25,000 active users, this place would be super lit, and they would need an enormous server. Let alone MPP would be flooded more then likely.

We need to buy ads then.

Who cares about the quantity of users? Should we not focus in the quality? We are a support network. Stop associating worldly aspects of life to this. Think about the rapid increase of funds pouring into the companies that are actually focused on hearing loss and tinnitus. It is happening with, or without this forum. We cannot raise anything in terms of financial capex that could ever come close to the investments these companies are getting now. The powers of this world are interested and dumping tens and hundreds of millions into this emerging technology. I think that means there is something there. my opinion in this matter is based on my college BS degree in Biomedical engineering technology, a masters degree in engineering technology with a focus on industrial business processes.

My 9-5 job is to write programs, and I'm a self taught programmer, for a global building materials manufacturing corporation that involves business processes that involve millions of dollars and a major understanding of large scale industrial processes. This is a good forum. For me it is a Godsend.

I think we should all be just focusing on fx322's trials and waiting until December or so when phase 1.5 is over and meditating on what comes out of that. If nothing about T, then we get to wait on phase 2, and trying like hell to get in the trials.

We should be the Guinea pigs for phase 2 in my mind, and make TTalk private side for a private fortune for those of use that are in the trials.

Frequency Therapeutics finally answers the question "will regenerating cochlear hair cells help tinnitus?"

*if your hearing loss is related to cochlear hair cell death.

This is what we've been saying all along.
some researchers and people with common sense have been saying that long before I came along.
I was just dumbfounded when I joined the forum and realized people were talking about tinnitus as if it were a condition of it's own instead of a symptom of hearing loss.

Well that's enough news for me to feel hopeful about the future. I wonder if Dr. Mclean is lurking on this site.

If they cure noise induced shitnitis, then I'm going start donating heavily to research to cure other forms of T. This has got to be one of the absolute dumbest diseases on the face of the earth.
