My Posting Place

Will wind down MPP today with an excellent quote about tinnitus and the brain and mind: "This is a hardware problem, not a software problem."
So sayeth our local FX Therapeutics prophet Sir JohnAdams.

I'm sorry. Did you just say you were winding down MPP?

I'm not kidding, if fx 322 or something else cures us we need to all live in a commune together and be BFFs. Possibly start a band. We can call it My Posting Place. I live in Appalachia and land is cheap, mountainous, and beautiful out here, truly what some may call "God's Country". My wife and I make good money and could easily make the initial investment.

Okay everything I'm posting is the way I see it,
The hyperacusis network is shilling for TRT and Jastreboff and they incorrectly classify conditions.
http://www.hyperacusis.net/what-is-it/4-types-of-sound-sensitivity/

The word hyperacusis is a generic word for many conditions that cause loudness amplification or ear pain.

1: Noxacusis (hyperacusis with pain)
Take note they shill for TRT and Jastreboff and don't mention any actual research or even that this form of hyperacusis is related to pain and ear fullness.

Recruitment and Hyper-sensitive hearing
( loudness without pain hyperacusis)
I believe 2: and 3: are the same condition

I believe recruitment is more severe in hearing loss then it is autism. But autism shows the brain can act as an internal hearing amplifier. Regardless I still don't know, these could be two separate conditions to add more confusion.

Misophonia and Phonophobia

(fear and annoyance by noise that is psychological)

wrap your heads around this one.
from the fx 322 patent:
"
The cochlea relies heavily on all present cell types, and the organization of these cells is important to their function. As supporting cells play an important role in neurotransmitter cycling and cochlear mechanics. Thus, maintaining a rosette patterning within the organ of Corti may be important for function. Cochlear mechanics of the basilar membrane activate hair cell transduction. Due to the high sensitivity of cochlear mechanics, it is also desirable to avoid masses of cells. In all, maintaining proper distribution and relation of hair cells and supporting cells along the basilar membrane, even after proliferation, is likely a desired feature for hearing as supporting cell function and proper mechanics is necessary for normal hearing.

In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the cell density of hair cells in a cochlear cell population is expanded in a manner that maintains, or even establishes, the rosette pattern characteristic of cochlear epithelia."

Does this mean they have been doing advanced, proprietary research into this? As in things that will make this super badass that they haven't revealed? How do you control the patterning of regrown hair cells?
