i pretty much just lurk in the newcomer threads just to warn them about the hidden hearing loss meme.

threefirefour use to do a lot of things,

several months ago he was very argumentative and would post lots of anime girls memes as well as go thread to thread and encourage suicide and intentionally look for triggering certain members. Then he "matured"

When I first joined the forum I was very mischevious going along with him, I wans't persay argumenative but I intentionally took threads off topic and we pretty much posted really dumb autistic memes about nicktoons characters.

I actually do regret how stupid I acted early on.

Early MPP was a total different stage of my life, I was super depressed and having panic attacks every day.
threefirefour and shitposting were the only things that kept my sanity.

https://www.hearingsolutions.ca/blo...ustic-reflex-threshold-test-have-side-effects

watch this audiologist wiggle herself out of this one, the question wasn't even answered just bunch of BS

Quoted from the above link:

"Acoustic reflex threshold testing is a common practice used to assess the integrity of auditory pathways and measure reflexes of muscles in the middle ear. Negative side effects of an acoustic reflex measurement are very unlikely because of the brief presentation time of those sounds. Noise-induced hearing loss is due not only to the presentation level (loudness) of the sound but also due to the duration of that sound."

The above statement seems ignorant? Wouldn't a gunshot at close range be considered short in duration and wouldn't this short blast cause noise induced hearing loss?

From my personal experience a short blast can and does cause tinnitus and hearing loss.

Am I missing something?

in front of a loud speaker, 10 days later he developed tinnitus and ENT's said "no hearing loss.

:(

Maybe that's because the ENT only tested up to 8kHz?

If true this would be another example of an ENT's ignorance of tinnitus.

Another waste of money, going to see an audiologist (who is ignorant of T) regarding sound exposure.

To me it is their duty to know about tinnitus. I guess 4.7% isn't worth being bothered by.

(360,000,000 people with T is 4.6753246753247% of 7,700,000,000 people in world.)

Yo!!!!!

"To further illustrate the mechanism of recover cochlear hair cells, we demonstrated that EGCG inhibited the activity of γ-secrectase to suppress Notch signalling pathway and promoted the proliferation and regeneration of hair cells in the damaged

WHAT IS UP MY PEOPLES????????

What in green tea does this? Green Tea also contains theanine which lowers glutamate 's ability to bind to receptors in the brain.

Egcg. I've already got that. Time to try high doses I guess.

Is Egcg in Theanine? Be careful with theanine as it can lower blood pressure, so taking a too much may reduce your blood pressure significantly.

Know what?

@JohnAdams

Just remembered these two threads when I was reading your post.

https://www.tinnitustalk.com/threads/supplements-—-interesting-results-for-me.20479/#post-238588

The guy who started this thread is taking four supplements and experienced better hearing and lower tinnitus. One of the supplements is Pterostilbene which is chemically related to resveratrol.

The second thread is about Nicotinadmide Riboside which also increases Sirt1 and leads to better mitochondrial function. A few people also experienced improved in hearing and tinnitus.

https://www.tinnitustalk.com/thread...lly-prevents-noise-induced-hearing-loss.7101/

Nevertheless, both supplements are not miracle drugs. Otherwise there would be more people with positive experiences. Maybe the dosage is too low. Who knows?

I'm also taking Nicotinadmide Riboside since 2 1/2 month, but have not experienced any positiv effects to my ear disorders. I have only more power when I am doing sports which is nice but not what I hoped for o_O

Currently, the best relief for me is sleep, sport and maybe low level laser therapy or led therapy.

I just realized that I know how to make and program machines. I could easily make a head mount that holds a syringe and has a camera and a pressure sensor that I could use to very steadily and precisely inject my ear drum with some drug. Is that illegal?

Probably not illegal but likely unsafe

Oh jesus. I would be careful about injecting anything into our ears. Taking supplements is one thing, but potentially damaging the ear drum is dangerous.

you guys @Deathtotinni is more than likely in San Antonio right now and potentially about to have fx-322 injected into his bad ear.

be excited.

we may know very very soon.

How to you know he got in? He recent posts don't show anything.
