I thought Tinnitus wasn't considered a disability in the states? Three billion dollars for tinnitus related disability to veterans! That's a lot of money. Does anyone know why veterans can get tinnitus disability, but everyone else can't?

Tinnitus is a disability awarded by the Department of Veteran Affairs to veterans who incurred Tinnitus because of their service. When a veteran applies to the VA, they are sent to a C&P exam. The requirements are a current diagnosis of tinnitus, the event or events in service that caused it, and a link or nexus between the event and the diagnosis. For example, if the veterans Service Treatment Records show that a roadside bomb blew up under his/her truck and the C&P examiner diagnoses Tinnitus and opines that it is more likely than not that the blast in service caused the current diagnosis of tinnitus, then the veteran is awarded a disability of 10%. It doesn't matter how severe or debilitating the tinnitus is, the max award is 10%. Currently, that amounts to $136.24/month.

It is a lot of money for tinnitus related disability because the US Government has over 1.5 million active duty service men and women stationed in over 37 Countries. War is noisy.

Veterans get tinnitus disability only if a medical examiner opines that their military service caused the tinnitus. In addition to the monetary compensation, the veteran is eligible for any and all treatment available by the VA health system for their tinnitus. This is why everyone else doesn't get it. It's a Federal benefit for veterans due to an event from their service.

The above information comes from experience. I am a combat veteran with debilitating tinnitus. The VA compensates me that 10% because I met those 3 criteria. The VA health side provides me what they can to help me cope until such time as the research center in the Portland VA Medical Center finds a cure or any public center finds a cure.

I hope that answered you question.

dude... Edge is a Leg(end)
I'm wondering what on the edge of science even means. Is this actually Will McLean because he for one is actually on the edge of science. And if this person is genuinely on "the edge of science" then I'm sure they can cure our tinnitus right?

@Contrast

I fear I am becoming a normie

It's bad
in 2016-2017 (until near the end) I almost became a normie, but I was a total wannabe.

Now I'm an eternal degenerate, the fact that you can open photoshop, gimp or whatever editing software you use and make amusing pics of Jastreboff is awesome.

Never get into a pissing contest with a skunk.

The best part is that this guy has mentioned before that he doesn't even gave T anymore....

Jasterboff isnt the head of the snake. Ignore that fat fuck. We need to be screaming at the FDA to loosen up on FreqTX.

The greatest tinnitus experiment ever is happening now.
