I too have experienced that. There is something really wrong with all the churches I have ever been to. Very few really get into the meat of the scriptures and seem to not explain the certain parts of the Bible at all. There's amazing symbolism of Jesus all throughout the Old Testament including prophecies of the rise and fall of nations, including Israel and I've never once heard a sermon on Nebudchanezzar's dream of the statue or Daniel's vision of the 4 beast kingdoms.
I even heard a bible study teacher once basically claim that if you dont go to church 3 times a week plus everytime they have a meeting that you're an antiChrist. Bah!

Damn so instead of funding the NIH and focusing on sick people or anything relevant like our infrastructure, our governments give huge incentives to giant companies like Amazon. This has got to stop. The world is so fucked.

Thats insane. But do you buy yourself from Amazon? or do you buy only from local companies?

Theres certainly more options than just local companies or Amazon. But I have historically bought alot of stuff from them.
The NY state government is giving Amazon incentives to have an HQ in NY; not the federal government. State governments do not fund NIH, that is funded through the federal government.
But yeah, I agree that NY could better allocate their state tax payer funds towards better state infrastructure, housing, education, etc.
