I think I'd do it. I hear my T through most shit anyways. I plan on doing a sensory deprivation float soon.

I hear my T through everything. There isn't anything that I don't hear my T through. My tinnitus is jacked, I'm cursed.

I went to Christmas Eve Vigil Mass today. Was there 45 minutes early to get a seat. I was almost in panic mode waiting in silence for Mass to begin.

Once deboarding a plane, everyone stood in the isle to exit. There was a 20 minute delay. The plane was sealed up, everyone standing, no a/c, hot and jam packed like sardines. After 15 minutes it was all I could do to not panic. I was about to walk over some people to get out of there or freak out.

When I was a kid, a friend and I were exploring a vast cave system. We were so deep into the cave, when we squeezed through tight areas we could hear our hearts beat.

These days I avoid "silence".

We're all cursed. My T is not really "loud" but so high pitch that nothing can mask it. This is seriously making me want to off myself. Last year I made really good progress and now Im just so fucked again. I'm sorry to complain I just want some fucking help

I was on a plane once full of Chinese people. I was the only caucasian. They were all staring at me. They all looked the fucking same. I panicked. I wanted out. I couldn't get out cos we were 30000 feet above the ocean in a aluminium tube......It was some terrifying fucking shit.

I want to know if type II Outer hair cell nerve fibers send pain signals through the Audiotory nerve to the Dorsal Cochlear nucleus which is then sent to the trigerminal nerve. Then pain is experienced. Hyperacusis with pain is both the trigerminal nerve and audiotory nerve sending pain signals. (noise induced ear and face pain)

What about other triggers for hyperacusis with pain, does hyperactivity in the audiotory brain caused by tinnitus have anything to do with it? Is this loudness, or pain hyperacusis or both?

What about loudness sensitivity in some autism cases or Audiotory processing disorders I believe "loudness hyperacusis" is that same thing. Yet loudness hyperacusis also occurs in acoustic trauma sufferers. In Autism and APD is there hyperactivity in the DCN as well?

Outer hair cells are the cochlea's amplifiers, do damaged outer hair cells also cause some noises to sound too loud combined with massive outerhair cell damage activating the type II afferent nerve fibers? But there also have to be a central pathology.

Some people expose themselves to very loud noises and do massive hearing damage and do not have tinnitus and hyperacusis? There must be a neurological gateway mechanism

I really do believe there is a central and peripheral version of hyperacusis. I wonder if tinnitus is the phantom limb sensation then maybe one form of hyperacusis is the phantom pain to compensate for a damaged audiotory nerve.
Because some people experience chronic ear fullness.

I am also convinced there are 2-3 types of hyperacusis
and I do acknowledge subtypes of tinnitus depending on what part of the brain tinnitus is established in.

We don't exactly whats happening know research is not there yet
I look stupid speculating of things way over any qualification I have but this literally keeps me up at night knowing audiologist and ENT's aren't trying to escalate these questions to bio-medical research to help sufferers. They just shill Tinnitus Retraining Therapy without looking into the depths of the problem

TRT'S creator, Pawel Jasterboff is a quack, his research is from several decadesd ago before anyone knew about type II afferent nerve fibers or the role of the trigerminal nerve in hyperacusis.

He never considering looking at the suspected pathologies in hyperacusis and subtypes (pain and loud) and trying to think about how his treatment of TRT would apply to any of them. Once again the research wasn't therea t the time.

He just shilled TRT to the world and obviously predatory audiologist that sell hearing aids for a living would have no problem picking up dogma. Audiology is literally a extremely outdated pseudo-science field
These are all great questions. Beyond why though, I'd first like to know if fx322 or other hearing restoration techniques affect these things because they are already testing it.
It's actually already the end of their phase 1/2 trial. Somebody has to know by now.

Merry Christmas guys! I hope you are all enjoying your holidays!

JASTERBOFFS FUCKING WEBSITE WORKS ON A WINDOWS 95 INTERNET EXPLORER 4.0. loads perfectly!

except for the paypal extension

I got the forum to load and work half ass enough to login on a 2008 version of Firefox with all scripts disabled.

The difference is Internet explorer 4.0 was released in 1997
Firefox 2.0022 was released in 2008

That's an 11 year difference between browsers, the forum wouldn't even show on IE 4 because it's https and uses css and html that never existed at the time.

+ 21 years from 1997 to 2018 and Jasterboff's website still displays on a prehistoric dinosaur web browser

Aren't both sites html based? Maybe TT has too much php and javascript for IE4.

all websites as far as I know are html based, html is the building block of the web. Think of it as a skeleton of a website.

kid screams during holidays family dinners truly are one of the worst thing i've ever had to deal with
like stfu kid im trying to suffer in silence

I wonder how many child murders are caused by tinnitus and hyperacusis?......I'm guessing insomnia, depression, incurable head ringing and a screaming child has got to be a pretty toxic mix.

Any told by professional clinicians that you had to "be patient and force yourself" to listen to ONLY 120 db for 15-20 secs. right -into- the ear as a hyperacusis test and method for "analysis", despite how much it affected and hurt?

that is fucking retarded. under no circumstance would i do that.

no. many websites are based on the ID-10-T language.
All tinnitus cure websites are written in ID-10-T language and purchased by people fluent in ID-10-T.

As well as: (be patient and force yourself" to listen to ONLY 120 db for 15-20 secs. right -into- the ear as a hyperacusis test and method for "analysis"). This test is also written in ID-10-T language.

Who else thought it was weird that some of the Neuromod video testimonial dudes spoke about clearer/better hearing?
I mean this thang certainly doesn't bring back hair cells.
Was it just perceptive hearing improvement due to T reduction?
Weird, no?? Any thoughts?

Cinnamon is a shit desktop enviorment, Linux mint is literally turbo normified babies first Linux, you can't search files with the start menu that well as it's index search is poor.

You can't drag and drop photos into applications launchers within the panel bar or drag and drop files from the start menu.

It gives me issues with audio equalizing software "pulse effects" for some weird reason other Mint 18.3 users reported it as well.

My PC is not compatible with Linux Mint19+ so I'm forced to use 18.3 release indefinitely. I also have a weird bug with Firefox version 61+ where right clicking and openly up a menu freezes, I'm forced into using firefox 60 ESR until it's fixed.

Xubuntu + Xfce is somewhat friendly too and meant for machines that are somewhere in the 1-2 gig of RAM.
It doesn't have fancy features like a thumbnail preview in the panel, but if you do a bit of configuration and tweaking to get the result
https://forum.xfce.org/viewtopic.php?id=11960

You can also get a dashboard apparently to show all Windows
http://www.webupd8.org/2014/07/xfdashboard-gnome-shell-like-dashboard-xfce-xubuntu.html

What I like the most is the Xfce as a desktop enviorment is amazing to configue it however you want literally, the only problem it comes with a bad file manager "Thumnar" not a good one like "Nemo" or "Dolphin" I probably have to figure out how to get one of those to work with the least errors. Changing file managers and Desktop enviorments that come as default are known to cause bugs.

I as a graphic artist will benefit from being able to put large icons on the task bar to drag and drop graphics into applications to edit them, It will probably also correct the issue I had with pulse effects and once again it is half the weight of the Cinnamon desktop enviorment.

"oh yeah I should have mentioned at the beginning installing Xfce on Linux Mint breaks Cinnamon."

Xfce(all modifications are panel modifications with no additional software)

upload_2018-12-26_18-18-51.png

Linux Mint's Cinnamon + Cairo Dock (top left) I use that for drag and drop and easy access.
It's sad knowing both distros have useful features and I'm forced to choose inconveniences either way.

there's linux fags that are way smarter then me and know how to mix and match any desktop enviorment with any file manager without any compatibility issues and tweak it the way they like it.

I just wish there was a distro that had everything I need, but that isn't the case I'm going to have to learn how to configure things myself more and more instead of expecting an out of the box magic and I'm going to run in bullshit moments such as getting frustrated when swapping file managers creates bugs.
