"...over time the unique signal patterns work to reduce and soothe the perceived tinnitus experience" - from the new Lenire website (emphasis mine). I don't mean to be a party pooper but these are weasel words if I've ever seen any.

Maybe they are using that type of language help layman understand?

Just my 2 cents

What's going on over there?
The news of Lenire broke out there, most people are thrilled, CBT-shills aren't taking their loss of relevance to well.
anyway, to not clog onto the lenire thread, what is everyone's honest to god thoughts on lenire?
Great starting point, far from a cure.

It might be a cure for some, but for all we know it also might make a small minority of patients worse than before the start of their treatment.

I agree with that. I'm also concerned about the exclusion material - paying the 250 to see if you're even allowed to get the treatment or not kind of dampens it for me. But what @threefirefour said, at least it lets it be known, that treatment is very much possible for tinnitus.

Imagine going to the theme park and instead of the sign just saying
"you must be X inches tall to ride"
it saying,
"For 250 euros we will screen you to make sure if this roller coaster is right for you".

John Adams must be pissed there's an actual treatment available now for tinnitus with actual trials done.

Cuz Dr Shim is the besttttt rightttt! We should all praise Jesus to Dr Shim and forget all other REAL treatments, HEH

You know nothing. I'm all for it if it works.

I swear a cure for tinnitus could drop tomorrow and people would still be complaining about something lol

The difference is Neuromod had leaked data from both their trials. We saw this information a couple of weeks ago showing its efficacy and that it worked in a clinical setting. They are currently getting peer reviewed and seeking FDA approval. They are even offering refunds to people who it doesn't work for. They are also continuing to do trials to make the procedure even better.

Shim hasn't released any data, hasn't been peer reviewed, hasn't sought FDA approval, and doesn't offer refunds when it doesn't work. Also, his procedure is 7 times the cost of Neuromod.

There is a huge difference between these two treatments. If Shim did what Neuromod is doing, I wouldn't be skeptical of him.
