The reduced cost seems to only apply if you discontinue the treatment, not if "it doesn't work", which is what you said.

If you are a self appointed tinnitus treatment pioneer, get your ass to Ireland and try this out instead of bitching
 
Imagine going to the theme park and instead of the sign just saying
"you must be X inches tall to ride"
it saying,
"For 250 euros we will screen you to make sure if this roller coaster is right for you".
Manlets are the most marginalised group on earth.
It might be a cure for some, but for all we know it also might make a small minority of patients worse than before the start of their treatment.
Never really thought about that, we should be cautious but I can't see it being any more dangerous than the current bullshit docs prescribe us for tinnitus like antidepressants.
 
It's an app for Apple Watch that apparently notifies you if ambient noise exceeds a certain DB level (for purposes of minimizing hearing damage).

Great idea - I have a good dB meter on my iPhone which I refer to if I am concerned.
