That maybe so but one should try and curb their ways. I see Mr Shatner refrained from further correspondence with @JohnAdams and rightly so. He should be ashamed of himself for behaving in such a deplorable manner.

Michael
At least I don't go around telling everyone to take anti-depressants like you do.

Is this the best you can do?
Very disappointing.

Goodbye and I wish you well.
Michael
People come here seeking help, and even though many people here got tinnitus from antidepressants, that's like the first thing you always recommend, which is reckless and makes you far more deplorable than I can ever hope to be.

One should show manners and respect towards someone even when disagreeing with them. If we don't it shows we have no class and haven't been brought up well.

JohnAdams:

Expirements on one's self for greater good. This HAS to be commended. Recommends natural supplements like curcumin which we have seen, however small, a degree of tangible results here on TT. Scientific. Calls out charlatans like the ATA/BTA for the frauds they are.

Michael Leigh:

Take benzos, get TRT, and I advise you not to use headphones eVeN @ A lOw VoLuMe

Add a supplement called spirulina to that list. I'm early in my experiments with it but I think it may even be superior to curcumin.

bwahahahahaha him and Samantha Baines can join a club called "John Adams hurt our feelings".

Both of them are some losers that suck at their jobs. Shatner is a renowned terrible actor and Baines is as funny as a tongue louse.

Abstinence. Literally the most secure form of cyber-security.
Cyber-security experts are the biggest memes. I'm sick of their rhetoric,
They are basically paranoid of eveything.

Most "Cyber security experts are basically relics from the early 2000's when pre SP2 Windows XP was extremely insecure and hackers were having a field day exploiting it.

It's true any piece of software that can read a file and execute a macro can in theory be compromised with a virus or malware but the chances are extremely low and even lower if you use common sense. The advice of a cyber-security experts definitely will help and apply to specific businesses and people that are or are potentially targets. But the average person just looks like a paranoid loon following their advice. They also fail to realize that Windows 10 in itself has built in spyware like Cortana and people using wire shark to detect fresh installs of Windows 10 has it's own mysterious encrypted messages going to Microsoft Servers or God knows where.

Microsoft already has built in spyware and every website has a tracking pixel and your iphone/Android tracks you everywhere so your privacy is long gone. It's okay if a large corporate entity puts spyware on your OS but it's wrong if a little dumb script kiddie does it. Most people who call themselves cyber security "experts" are still mentally living in the early 2000's. The new spyware is Microsoft, Apple, Facebook, Amazon and Google.

Quit talk'in shit about service pack 2. That's all we had back then. You millennial commies just don't understand or appreciate what we had to live with back in the dark ages before SSDs. It may be EASY for you, rich boy, but old poor men like myself know what it is like surfing in 56K. HAVING TO WATCH STUPID CARTOON CLIPS IN SHOCKWAVE FLASH, FUCKING SHOCKWAVE!!!! Show some respect.

You idiot I spent the majority of my life using a shitty computer and I started using the Internet during the Golden age of flash. I was forced to use a Windows XP with 992MB of RAM from 2005 to late 2015. It was fluent up until 2012 when the web started getting bloated. I cheated by using L ubuntu starting in 2014.

Back in 2011 something Microsoft made it's own flash clone called silver light and it died so quickly

when pre SP2
I was referring to before SP2 when XP first hit the public domain and viruses were flying everywhere getting the normies.

I miss Windows 2000 so much.

I am so tired of Windows 10. They did a fantastic job of not letting you be administrator of your own PC.

I wonder if it's safe to run an "unofficial" version of windows 7 behind a hardware firewall.
No, Windows "distro's" aren't a thing and Microsoft use to literally sue people for doing that. Usually they have malicious software or shitty gimmicks that make them inferior to actual Windows 7.

If you don't like Windows 10 don't use it. You can still use Windows 7 and just ignore the EOL fear mongering or just switch to a Linux distro based on Ubuntu like me since I dislike Windows as a whole.

Missing the 9x series/Early Windows is just nostalgia outside of workstation and old gaming uses. Once you boot one up in a virtual computer and try to use it for daily use you realize it's crap online and it doesn't even look right on modern HD monitors.

Just Maybe
an old computer can be useful as a productivity workstation that stays offline. If you have all the software from the time you used and you are a free lancer/small business owner or working on a school project then sure that would actually the the best use for a legacy OS because good software is useful forever.
