I'm pleasantly surprised that Neuromod agreed to not one but two total Q&As. I suppose it seems a good sign.

From my time on this website it almost seems like medications are the second leading cause of tinnitus. I don't have stats to back that up.

It seems to be common enough. Given how few people with tinnitus are examined to the point one can determine their exact cause of tinnitus, it will likely be some time before we can get any reliable stats on anything.

Even hearing loss, though usually seen as the most common reason, doesn't actually explain why tinnitus occurs, especially since some people with hearing loss have no tinnitus.
Saying that hearing loss in itself is a cause of tinnitus doesn't seem quite right.

People in my uni are already making plans to go to clubs.
I dont know what to do with this tinnitus anymore maybe its better to ruin my ears

He didn't even have to deal with it for a year. Silly little boy with superhuman powers.
As I recall, young brother Kain has health issues beside tinnitus, I think it was a collapsed lung or something serious... just for the record. Thus the breathing reference.
I could completely wrong as well.... I often am. Peace out.

I was referring to the young man (Tanjiro) depicted in the image Kain provided, not Kain himself.
Apologies for not communicating this effectively.
No worries, my bad, I had no idea who the character was. My apologies, as I said, I am often wrong...wrong again...shit...

Take care comrade.

probably wont have the balls to go to the club with this tinnitus guess I should look for other ways to make social conctacts
I am so sorry to have to be a bearer of bad news, but it is true.
When you're young, life is fast and we want to be involved in scenes and have fun. Getting hearing damage at such a young age forces us to grow up too fast. In certain ways, having this condition limits us more than if we had lost both of our legs. It truly is a massive burden. This is why I am so incredibly passionate about my criticism of the tinnitus organizations the ATA and BTA as well as the regulatory process, because there are in fact several medical interventions on the horizon and nobody with enough power is trying to help speed anything up for us. They simply don't understand this condition and have more compassion for arbitrarity than for their fellow humans.

At least we have compassion for perfectly healthy illegal immigrants that come to our countries and pop out anchor babies so they can get their lives heavily subsidized by taxpayers like my wife and I.

I keep reading about chiropractors fucking people up.... this does not surprise me at all.
It's really becoming a small chronic subgroup, of people who let some quack snap their neck incorrectly. A good chiropractor has to be so knowledgeable and nuanced. There is something called cranio sacral massage, which sounds far less invasive and beneficial. Just a thought, my ears are fucked, so it's not really my issue, but it's concerning as I am seeing more and more posts of people having negative experiences with chiros.

May I suggest when we start purging incompetent ENTs, we throw in some chiropractors for good measure.

A chiropractor hurt me pretty bad and I believe it was on purpose to try and make me feel like I needed to keep coming back. The procedure he did on me was abnormal and started me on my aspirin addiction which made me more susceptible to noise damage and now here I am with you fine people.

Not surprised homes......they bypass certifications and normal medical laws.....I have heard of miracle workers, but more often than not patients are left injured and fucked up with no recourse. It shows up hear a lot because of the nerves related to tinnitus. Shame.....purge city
