Yes I've managed to reduce my tinnitus with ACRN. I say it every now and then so it's not unknown. Can I ask you in all sincerity if you have found any treatment for your Tinnitus that has helped you in any way at all?
Mine is loud, permenant, unmaskable.
In four years, most of which were lived in considerable distress, I have suffered absolute hell on Earth.
I live in a most beautiful gated park.
I lived concurrently in both a heavenly place, and a hell of noise.
None of my ENTs, clinics, general practitioners, have ever offered or recommended anything at all.
I knew I was on my own with this thing.
I decided to try to accept this noise as the new norm.
Utilising hypnosis, meditation, and self hypnosis, I suggested to myself that "hiss is normal."
I often think that I have escaped the dungeon of despair, to inhabit a territory of toleration.
But I have to say to you, I no longer despair, break down, or fall to pieces.
Something is different.
I literally am coping pretty well.
How could one explain that, if acceptance/habituation amounts to nothing?
I would not want to go back to where and how I was before.
So, what has actually happened for me?
I am not even sure myself.
I genuinely would appreciate your opinion.
Dave.
but you described it yourself. Habituation is often slow, clunky, "patchy" (some days are better than others), and technically ineffective. By every metric it's a bad treatment, assuming it even is a real treatment I could well argue that it isn't.
As I said, just because it's all we have doesn't make it suck any less.
