When you accidentally expose yourself to 106db+ish speakers for three-five seconds and your ear begins to tickle with a burn.

Am I just going to live in isolation and wear protection everywhere I go for the rest of my fucking life? :( Fuck, I can't believe how one syringing did me in so fucking bad. Hopefully this is just a small setback.

Also I'll say it again, phone DB meters are trash and give a false sense of security. Buy a real one. Phone microphones are very limited and not accurate at picking up high levels of sound. It's how I got hurt this time around. :( Was in an environment that read as 87 db but absolutely was not.

Man I feel you, I was driving my mate and these randoms from a party to the city and one of the randoms cranked the car speakers to the max for like 10 seconds before I could wrestle the controls from him and turn it back down again. And now my tinnitus has increased, hopefully, its only temporary. Why cant my life just be fucking normal :(

The Levo System is that thing you listen to when you sleep, right? I wonder if there's some truth to it considering my tonal tinnitus vanishes for a bit when I hear a 4khz tone.

I'm too scared to even think about trying it though with my hyperacusis.

That's residual inhibition. It was originally intended to use this to reduce tinnitus but the concept failed. So they only did the next logical thing and rebranded a nonworking product anyways :^)

Is there any basis in the idea that if you do residual inhibition long enough you could get neuroplasticity to kick in and actually lessen tinnitus? Most of these things are scams, yeah, but I'm a bit interested in if it could work at all long-term.

That's the principle behind Audionotch and ACRN. It could work but it has to be more specific. Using RI to lessen tinnitus as a whole wont in the long term, reduce neurosynchronicity.

They are only playing back the specific T frequency during sleep, unlike ACRN and Audionotch. Either way, I don't really enjoy torturing myself, and there's many other ways to do it without paying 5k if I did want to : )

Anyone here wanna buy an old unused iPod with some broken earphones? Guaranteed efficiency, after only 1 night you'll ruin your ears. Only 4.5k, cause I'm generous that way. ;)
