I don't notice my tinnitus when I'm busy. I have already attained what you say I haven't. You really are crazy man.

There is hope for you then. Now, try to engage in positive things when you are not working instead of moaning and groaning on why a cure cannot be found for tinnitus. If you do this, I assure you in time your tinnitus will reduce. Believe, me it is negative thinking and associating with your other negative thinking friends on MPP that keeps your perception of tinnitus at the forefront of your mind. You have said it yourself: when at work I don't notice the tinnitus. There you are, it is the negative company that you are associating with that is reinforcing your perception of the tinnitus. I told you tinnitus is 90% mental.

Cool. Habituation is awesome and if you don't focus on the sound you won't hear it perceptually.

You have converted us.

Now will you please leave?

Michael leigh often makes arguments that because palliative care is friendly and kind means that it is actually solving a problem. Sure many TRT and CBT specialist are excellent compassionate human beings who actually do care and mean well. But they aren't solving the ultimate problem. The more medical research on tinnitus and hearing disorders the more becomes known and the sooner we get help.

You are very immature and for this reason I don't have much to say to you. JohnAdams is somewhat better for I can correspond with him until he starts becoming foolish just like you....

The topic of this thread is too be juvenile and foolish.

hey gang--far too busy to read even the abstract of this study (heh. I'm a far too busy, dominant and high-powered go-getter to look at this nerd stuff, actually!)

Seems to be saying that there's a correlation between the THI and one's levels of neuroticism?? If you work on the later, which is something you can actually do right now, it might help with the former? It might even improve your live in a whole host of ways that are even removed from tinnitus symptoms?

Further it has nothing to with the FX frequency Rx3345t6 (or whatever), the basket that you are putting all of your eggs in?

But there is NOTHING positive about tinnitus.

You are new to tinnitus. If you want to learn what I mean about being positive about tinnitus, click on the links below. It is about incorporating positivity into your life. When this is done, your way of thinking starts to change and the negative thinking that you have about tinnitus will be replaced with positive thinking. In order to do this, you have to stop associating with negative thinking people and the way they think about tinnitus. If you do not do this, their thinking will become your way of thinking and it will hinder or completely stop you habituating to tinnitus. Tinnitus forums can be good they can also be very bad, due to the negative thinking people that visit them. Reading their posts can be very damaging. It is for this reason anyone having tinnitus treatment, should keep away from tinnitus forums.

Do any of you get the impression that if a slew of regenerative therapies were available in 5 years and tinnitus was largely a thing of the past, people like Michael would actually be disappointed?

I find it odd that none of the hardcore TRT folks are in the threads cheering on the new research. I would have much more respect for them if they did. I could even buy that TRT could have some use as a band-aid until we get a treatment for the "10%" of the condition that is apparently biological.

We are being insulted because we don't like lies and are watching hearing loss drugs to see if they might cure us.

These people are truly sick. Truly evil.

Oh definitely. And then they'll take credit for having "eased" our suffering in the meantime.

I stopped following that thread tbh though I DID get an email from them stating they are opening a clinic in...... Germany now

These people are trying to make a case that we aren't habituated because having a disease bothers us and that means that something is wrong with us. They will only be satisfied when we post success stories and claim we have conquered this disease.

A victim mindset and feeling sorry for yourself in some cases a very good mindset that should be encouraged.
