My Precious Sylvia Has Passed Away

Dave,

You're a blessed man to have had such a wonderful woman as your wife. That you got to share the journey of life with such a fine lady. To enjoy that beautiful smile of Hers so many times and her companionship, warmth and the sound of her laughter. All of those sweet memories of Sylvia will live on with you for the rest of your life.

The other side of that coin, Dave, is that She too was blessed to have had such a great a guy as you as Her husband and all of the happiness that you brought Her over the years.

My sincere heartfelt condolences.

Jim

My dear old friend Dave. I am so very saddened to read about your loss of Sylvia. I have not been here for quite some time and just now heard of this happening to you. Sigh... hope you remember me if not Sylvia touched my life through your words many many times.

You are the most dignified and humble man Dave and your support and love for everyone will live on forever as it does in me.

How are you doing?

Much love to you and your family during this time.

I've never forgotten you Star.
You stood by me when others preferred not to.
I don't blame them.
I don't always get things right.

I used to say to Syl:
"I love you so much - it hurts Syl.
It's not supposed to hurt is it?"

She would say:
"Oh yes it is - it's supposed to hurt a lot."

I love her more than life.

❤️ "I Love You Sylvia Hewett" ❤️

She sounded like a wonderful woman, Dave.

If I ever have a love that's half as amazing of what you and Sylvia shared, I'll be a happy man.

@Jazzer please keep writing when you feel like it. We had a nice friendship bond for sure. Standing by someone you believe in is just who we are. I would do it again.

I remember so many of your stories. So they must have made an impact in my mind.

Her poem is beautiful. I am still processing her words.

I was just thinking of what makes someone have a legacy and it is this. Love.

@Jazzer, you loved Sylvia and she you and in turn you were influenced by her words and actions and they became part of who you are.

And in your interactions with people, you are instilling a part of her, too. There is an immortality in that and I think it's really beautiful. You can feel her in your words.

I know that doesn't make it easier but I hope it provides at least some comfort to know that even strangers can still be affected by her warmth and kindness.

Dear Dave,

I'm sending good thoughts into your direction. I hope that you can find some positive experiences today that will ease your heartache a bit.

All the best,
Sevv

Dear Dave, I'm so sorry for your loss. :(

Sylvia will always be in your heart.

On November 4th, I lost my cousin to Leukemia, so my heart breaks and I understand the pain.

Here's a tight {{{{Hug}}}}.

Dear lovely friends.
You are so kind.

My feeling of loss is total.
Such a dream person.
She offered love to everybody she met with her beautiful smile.
She amazed me in some way every day of my life,
but mostly just by being who she was.
Peaceful, calm, loving, devoid of guile or irritation.

But I have to realise that she left me, and every one of us, with a job of work to do.
"Look after each other - and spread the love."

She would not expect me to collapse.
She would expect me to come through this pain and succeed, for the sake of our family, and for the sake of my own self respect.

Thank you folks for asking me to come back.
Love to everybody
Dave x❤️x

Beautiful photos of a beautiful lady.

Jazzer, she was truly a wonderful human.

From the photos and how you describe her, I wish that I had known her myself. People like Sylvia are hard to come by.
