Tinnitus Since
March 2018.
Cause of Tinnitus
Supplement , DAA
I got tinnitus back in March 2018. It came on after I took a D-Aspartic Acid supplement one time. I had it in both ears and my head. Then eventually just my left ear. Horrible ringing I couldn't escape. I was like I couldn't go on with this. Went to ENT for cleaning , nothing. I just knew this was more of my brain being out of whack. So this is what worked.

10 days of NAC 600mg.
Days 1-3: 600mg at night before bed.
Days 4- 7 days: 600mg at night and also 600mg first thing in morning on empty stomach.
Days 4-7 in the afternoon: 500mg of Acetyl L Carnitine.

Now I have absolutely nothing! This may be the case specifically to me, as perhaps this cleared or repaired whatever damage was done with the DAA. But it worked so I figured I'd share as I know how sucky I felt with it.

IM TRYING THIS.

Did you mean:

10 days of NAC 600mg.
Days 1-3. 600mg at night before bed.
Days 4- 7 days. 600mg at night and also 600mg first thing in morning on empty stomach.
Days ***8-10**** , in the afternoon 500mg of Acetyl L Carnatine.

***correction*** I meant days 4-10 on the 600mg of NAC at night before bed and first in morning on empty stomach. Along with 500mg of ALC in afternoon on 4-10. I put 4-7 by accident.

I researched the heck out of what supplements cross the blood brain barrier and specifically affect neurons damaged by excessive glutamate. Too much Glutamate roaming around in the brain causes neuron death and other problems. Glutamate can increase from loud noise. supplements , Aspartame. NAC regulates glutamate in the brain to normal levels. ALC also crosses the blood brain barrier and is a pre curser to acytel choline which increases nueron production and repair. Doses I came with what seemed right. Again I attacked tinnitus as a toxic Brain problem that needed help cleansing and reorganizing. Worked for me big time. NAC and ALC u can pick up for 12-20 bucks at any supplement store so easy investment.

When I read, "My Tinnitus Cured", I see no reason why you'd be lying to push pill sales, as there are different manufacturers of this supplement.

I also see that you've had shitnitus for longer than I have. Which could be considered chronic.

Why isn't everyone on this site flocking to try this? NAC is cheap and won't hurt us.

I´m trying it right now, got my NAC last week and started today with 1x600 mg.

I'm trying to figure out where to go get these supplements today, Labor day.

Just FYI, the Nac as I started to go at night and morning I felt like my head felt little groggy. I think it moved out the toxic chemicals and imbalance in my brain. And the ALC made new pathways for my brain to communicate with my hearing. Whatever it was I haven't thought of my T in 2 weeks now. It wasn't until day 5 -7 that I noticed markedly improvement. And it's cheap. Each bottle is like 15 bucks. I tried those hearing pills u can get online. Didn't do crap. I think it was 80% NAC , 20% ALC. if u research the effects of each it makes sense why it would work.

The brands I used was from vitamin shoppe. I'm only on here to offer help because I was going crazy with my T it sucked so bad. I solved mine and figure I had to at least say what worked on me.

Also to clarify days 4-10 I was taking 1200 mg of NAC total per day split 600 in morning and 600 at night if my first post was confusing.

@Conan156 I'm glad to see you are doing better and that a certain vitamin regiment helped. Some lack certain vitamins, but also certain vitamins such as NAC can help actual health and physical conditions that may be the cause or contribute to a person's tinnitus. For example zinc may not help some with tinnitus, but if they have a certain nerve condition such as an oral nerve trauma then zinc may help and thus maybe their T.

Here are some health conditions that may associate to one's tinnitus where NAC may help. One should always also check to see if any vitamin may interfere with an existing condition. Also certain vitamins need to taken with other vitamins.

Yea I used the vitamin shoppe brand as well. I think only $15 600mg dose.
Yea I agree it prob depends what is the underlying cause of T. I believe mine was from the DAA I took as it started the hour after I took it. So NAC was needed to repair whatever damage I had done to my brain / nerves.

My T was due to Klonopin withdrawal. My last dose was 36 hours before the T started. I pray this helps me. If nothing else, it really helped me with energy and focus this morning.

Some member in there had some relief, although it probably works more for preventing hearing loss then to treat existing T.
I was thinking GNC, but if I knew what Earthfare is, I might try it. Whole Foods is just too expensive even with my Amazon prime account.
I got this from a reputable health food store.

that's crazy. how many times am I going to read that a mind-altering prescription drug caused someone's tinnitus? I think there is more hope for you guys than people like me with supposed noise damage. I'd say detox and fast and check vitamin levels. Where are the authorities on this?

Hi Emster,
For me, it seems that the only cure/relief for tinnitus that caused by benzo is normal sleeping+good emotions. Please let me know if NAC+ALC working on you.

Through the grace of God I have been healed from many things, pancreatitis, mold poisoning... I have faith it will disappear.
