My Tinnitus Is My Fault, I Feel So Hopeless

@Bill Bauer This whole ordeal has caused me so much anxiety, I'm scared of new meds, foods, even small sounds like the fan being on. The intensity has gone from a 2 to a 4 and it's way more bothersome. It just feels like every time I feel okay something gets worse. I'm calling my ENT tomorrow to discuss other options. I just hope that this mellows out ):

You might want to take a large number of valerian root pills. This is what I did during the early days of my T, and to some extent it had helped...

Update: I stopped taking the meds and we are figuring out a different plan. The intensity of the ringing went down after 2/3 days.

The ringing has gotten higher pitched this past week almost to the point of me not being able to hear it. I forgot it was there for a couple days. I hear it now that I'm thinking about it but this is the first time today.

I went to the library the other day and had no issues, I've also been going to sleep in complete silence. Also I've been wearing earplugs when I know I need them like my nephews birthday or when I want to use the blender. It only gets better from here.

Yup, you're recovering nicely. Keep your ears safe and you should be able to enjoy silence for a long time. Silence while alive, that is.
