My Trip to Bangkok: Stem Cell Treatment [Comments]

Thanks. I really don't like how harsh you are to users on here. I'm happy you took the risk of getting a non-FDA approved stem cell therapy session(s) done. There is no need to have such an egotistical manner on this forum though.

It's been like this for years.

Stem cell therapy is nowhere near where it needs to be to successfully treat hearing loss and conditions like tinnitus. The same thing applies to LLLT. Both treatment protocols are being exploited by firms that are preying on the desperate for ridiculous sums of money.

for light therapy you can put together you own very powerful 10w-25w device for under 300 USD using LED ..no need to spend a lot.

Don't need to go to a clinic to have it done either.

I spent 2000 USD for my own device and my sound quality/hearing loss dips/reactive T /H improved a lot.

I have audiograms that show improvements at 4khz from 40 to 30, then 25 to 20db over 8 months of daily treatment using light therapy - not only lasers.

Even my ENT was surprised he believed after 3 months there cannot be improvements.

Stem cells cannot be done DIY at home for 300 USD ..or maybe they can who knows

I have just booked mesenchymal stem cell therapy with "Swiss Medica XXI century S.A." in Moscow. I'm scheduled for 8th of July 2016 (tomorrow).
I will be there 12 days and I will get around 1 billion stem cells (they say 5-7 M stem cells per kg of body weight):
- One day I will get my own belly fat SVFs (adipose derived mesenchymal stem and other cells (T cells, B cells ...)).
- On another day I will get my own bone marrow MSCs (that will hurt).
- third day I will get 50 million MSCs from umbilical cord blood (allogenic / donated)
- and 4th and 5th (and optionally 6th) day I will be getting MSCs from umbilical cord (also donated).
Bone marrow and adipose derived stem cells will be mixed with my own PRP (platelet-rich plasma - this is what Dana White got in Germany for his Ménière's).
Rest of the days I will be getting antioxidants, amino acids, minerals, vitamins, Intravenous laser, ultraviolet and oxygen blood therapy (oxygen directly administered into blood).

I have audiograms and ABRs that I did in April showing hearing loss of >8kHz frequencies. Also my tinnitus is in that range. If I survive stem cells therapy, I will go again somewhere around October 2016 to the same place to do again ABRs and audiograms and I will post results here.

Therapy costs 22k EUR or 24300 USD.

Wish me good luck ;-)

Prva liga, brate!

I read there is a clinic in Belgrade (Zemun), why not undergo your treatment there?
Hvala brate ! ;-)

Yes there is, but unfortunately they do only autologous stem cells. I insisted to go there, but swiss medica strongly recommended Moscow clinic for tinnitus. Zemun clinic is 20 mins by car and Moscow is 3 hours by plane, not big difference :-p

So, today is my second day at the clinic. When I arrived yesterday I had intro exam and EKG (results are good - despite all sleepless nights which I had due to T).
This morning they took venous blood and urine for various tests and then I got I.V. 3 bottles of amino acids / vitamins and something to accelerate blood flow. In 2 hours I will get oxyven (blood oxygenation).
Clinic is OK: not too fancy - not too bad. Like 2 stars hotel in say Germany or 3 1/2 stars in USA. It's located in some nice village ~ 40km from Moscow. Food is brown color and mainly OK, but not really tasty - I think I will loose some weight here - which is again good ;-)
Staff is really good - checking all the time on me and other patients (they have few USA patients that are here for stem cells therapy for ALS). Also staff is old ( I think ~ 50 years old in average) - which probably means lot of experience and hard core communists schools / universities :)

Cheers

Wow, all that for only 24300 USD?
Sounds like a deal. I hope for the best for you!

If I had the disposable income I'd give it a shot.

Yes, one of the reasons I opted for them was that they were not counting / selling cells, but more focusing on treatment - i.e. how to help/fix the problem.

I have fair income - that's why I went for this experiment ;-)

Cheers

@whiskeykonteq when would you expect to see any progress from this treatment ans do you know if others have done this with any success ?
Yes, our own ATEOS and FERNANDO GIL, 2 cases from Australia (Sydney osteoarthritis clinic - tinnitus was not main issue) and one hearing loss (Francis L). Also 2 years old girl from USA that is part of hearing restoration clinical trial in Florida (James Baumgartner). Florida clinical trial is based on this study from 2008: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18819255 and my experiment is based on that clinical trial, ATEOS and FERNANDO GIL's experience on this forum, those 4 anecdotal evidences and this study from 2013: http://www.researchposters.com/Posters/AAOHNSF/AAO2013/SP 384.pdf
In case of 2008 study first results on rats were seen 1 month, and best results 2 months after human hematopoietic stem cells were transplanted, ATEOS saw improvement 2-3 months after last injection. I'm hoping to see improvement in 2-3 months too.

p.s. I'm attaching complete (scanned) 2008 study pdf since it's not available on ncbi.nlm.nih.gov :). It's very thoroughly done and very interesting to read!

Cheers

Now this is some good information.
This is even better news - as of 2016 for hearing loss / tinnitus one should get only MSCs. Article is about induced pluripotent cells (Yamanaka got 2012 nobel prize for finding way how to make iPSC from skin cells of adult person) - which were thought to be dangerous as they can differentiate in everything - including cancer. So this means that hopefully in a few years we will see clinics using iPSCs and not embryonic SCs.

BTW, MSCs are in use for 40 years now (bone marrow transplantation for various leukemias) and they turned out to be completely safe.

Interested in this , although for this kind of money it should come with more of a guarantee of working...right ?
Do the people that provide the service say that they have had any success so far ?
