Hi Everybody,
Having severe tinnitus and hyperacusis for close to 20 years now and losing my former careers of music and education, I wanted to share with you all a project that I've recently been updating and refining.
As part of my dissertation that investigated the impact of sound sensitivity on tinnitus (which should be available on proquest open access within a few weeks I am hoping), I also created an original hyperacusis scale. The first scale had an internal consistency rating of .94 Cronbach's alpha, which is statistically pretty awesome, and also showed convergent validity through significant correlations with several other validated measures. But, it was a bit cumbersome to grade, and also over-emphasized certain areas of impact but neglected to include others. Below is the link to the updated version, I am hoping to get between 350-500 participants to take it. Thanks to the amazing support of many of you here on tinnitus talk, my last study had 420 participants... Please share widely!!

Sending much love and wishing you all well-needed relief and support
