- Cause of Tinnitus
- loud noise and very bad sickness
Hi folks,
it's the local helper Fish here. I am writing a post to tell you guys and hopefully motivate you guys/gals as usual.
Yesterday, my friend came over and he drives a car that is modified with fancy exhausts and a lot of junk that i'd never bother with. We walked to his car and instantly remembered that his car is loud. He started his engine and that loud VROOOOoooooommmm started. I was outside talking with him while that scary noise was on. I must have been outside for 2 minutes.
I was saying to myself, "I hope my hearing didn't get damaged". I went back inside my place and I listened to tranquil ocean sounds through out the day.
Today I woke up and I didn't have an unusual spike or anything. So Today I took my car to have a flat tire fixed. I was parked in the spot where they check the tire air pressure. next to that spot was the garage. IT WAS SO SO LOUD in there. You had drill guns, clanking of metals...it was very scary and loud. No doubt, those folks in there must have some sort of hearing issue. I know i'd never make it in there.
I went in for one second to get some help and some one used an air pressure/air gun and it was VERY loud and I quickly got out of there. As I got out of there, a car that was not even 5 feet from me honked as well.
So far, no spikes. It's the usual loud/intrusive tinnitus I face every second of my life.
The point of the post is this. I have managed to stay calm, no sweating the noise or anything. Keeping ourselves calm is CRUCIAL when scary noise or accidents happen.
Stress/anxiety and constant fear of the events/past events can bring on nasty spikes and keep them going...
***Now, for folks that have hyperacusis or anxiety issues, this situation can way more challenging. I'm just saying that accidents will happen. Loud noises can happen, try to hep yourself by remaining calm.***
I use my experiences to help YOU folks out. hopefully this post was helpful...
PS- All of us are different. My post simply just makes a point that anxiety/stress/fear is horrible and remaining calm during and after an accident is very important.
