Not Normal Tinnitus?

@Mad maggot I know a girl that has had strange MS like symptoms for years with episodes of pain and needles throughout her body everyday but doctors tell her it's anxiety or fibromyalgia because all her tests came out fine. She is not even an anxious person at all and disagrees. I guess some people just have strange conditions like me and my grandfather both have slight trembling hands lol weird stuff.

hi Rico,

I have almost exactly the same T as you describe. High pitch electrical sound in my right ear. Sometimes clicks in both my ears. Mine started in May this year. Since 2 months i also have a lower tone, but i only hear that tone when it is quiet or when my stress level is trough the roof. For me it's also really hard to live with. The last few days i am taking my oxazepam again just trying to keep calm.. but it's hard.. you are not alone..

Michael R,
Download the whitenoiseapp on your iphone. It has white, brown, pink and purple noise. Pick one that matches the pitch of your T. Run it in the background to mask your T. Right now you are stuck in a vicious cycle. Your T is getting worse so you become more aware of it, the more aware you become the more anxious and upset you become which in turn makes the T worse etc. Masking the T with "white noise" will reduce your awareness and subsequent anxiety and the cycle is reversed. I am sorry I cant offer you a magic pill, but sound therapy is beneficial in the long run.

Hello Mad Maggot...I'm not sure when your last post was but just wondering how you're doing now. How did it go with the T specialist? The symptoms you described back in 2015 sound very much like mine. It's a relief to at last hear somebody explain that their T is not a constant hiss or a whistle. My sounds like an angle grinder at times. It screeches so loud it jars my head and makes me feel giddy. It usually does this for about ten seconds every minute or so at its worst. I can go for hours and not hear a thing but when it does kick in during the day I survive by just switching off and concentrating on other things..... It's when I try to sleep at night I find it the most annoying. Oh...and I get brain zaps before dropping off to sleep too...Nobody will tell me if this is a 'normal' Tinnitus symptom. Sometimes I feel I'm possibly a T Freak!! I hope you've had some improvement...:)
