I want your opinion on something. When I open my jaw wide open, the left side crackles more (shifts towards strange direction?) and my tinnitus is worse in left ear.

When I told my doctor he said yes there is something about it but didn't do anything and left it at that.

So what should I do?

P.S: I feel no pain in my jaw.

I have the same. The fact that the sound gets higher when manipulating the jaw and/or neck is not uncommon. It's often referred to as somatic tinnitus.

I also have the cracking in the ear. For a long time (4 months) I thought this was Eustachian Tube Dysfunction, but after testing it for 4 months is still there. My theory now is that it's always been there, but the intense focus on the ear and sounds from that area has made the brain to amplify this so that I am noticing it much more now.

Be cautious...if you don't have TMJ it could be a sign that you're about to get it. Focus on relaxing your face muscles and gently stretching you jaw

I have seen a few doctors and they have confirmed it's TMJ, all of them advised to not pursue a solution and just live with it and be gentle with my jaw. Since it's not severe and there is no pain in my jaw.
