I use a Pentax ME Super. They are about £50. They hold 35mm film, so it's cheap to reload. You can get all different lenses to suit the subject matter.Any recommendations for cheap fun cameras?

Cool, I'll keep me eyes open for a used one locally!I use a Pentax ME Super. They are about £50. They hold 35mm film, so it's cheap to reload. You can get all different lenses to suit the subject matter.
I'm thinking "street" photography as well as nature. Basically just taking pictures as I go on my walks.@CRGC - Do you know what kind of photography you might want to do?
I've been using my phone but I feel having a dedicated camera would add steps to the process and make it more fun / fulfilling. I'm leaning towards film. Gonna try and see if my parents / friends might have an old camera lying around I could try out before committing to anything. Thanks for the tip on that little digi point and shoot though! That could be an option as well.Would your cellphone suffice? Film cameras are your cheapest otherwise if you're up for paying for film and development as you go. The cheapest decent digital IMO for those use cases are point-and-shoots which can range anywhere from $100 on up, like this discreet-looking one for about $140: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CG62D00/ref=cm_sw_r_apa_i_94JX1ZC2HZ9YTXVFE6TZ_1
Sure thing @CRGC, that sounds like a good plan. I know what you mean about having a dedicated camera--it creates the intention. Just got my hands on this little guy. Hand me down from my little brother. Nothing fancy (no real adjustments possible) but I heard good things on the picture quality and it's water resistant so perfect for my nature walks.Sure thing @CRGC, that sounds like a good plan. Awesome @CRGC! I hope you get some good shots and are able to post them.Just got my hands on this little guy. Hand me down from my little brother. Nothing fancy (no real adjustments possible) but I heard good things on the picture quality and it's water resistant so perfect for my nature walks.
Handsome kids Joe! Do these belong to you?
They are not mine @BrOKeN_1, but I agree they are handsome. I don't believe the girls know the boy, they were just walking by.Handsome kids Joe! Do these belong to you?
I had to read that a few times before I caught another meaning @danielthor.
I'm curious. What kind of meaning did you get at first and what was the concluding one?I had to read that a few times before I caught another meaning @danielthor.
At first, I interpreted "looking forward to more" as "looking forward to my own funeral". Then, I interpreted it to mean, "looking forward to more funerals". Then, I interpreted it to mean, "looking forward to more beautiful experiences".I'm curious. What kind of meaning did you get at first and what was the concluding one?
Funerals can be aesthetically beautiful. Although actually good art does not depend so much on the topic... it's more about the aesthetic approach. Like a novel can be great even if the topic is irrelevant, but the story is well told.
I'm not sure what you're getting at exactly. My poem isn't good art?Funerals can be aesthetically beautiful. No, I wasn't referring to your poem specifically, but talking generally about any art form. Art can be great no matter what the "content" or "topic" is. There is a side of it linked to aesthetics, a technical aspect, no matter if we talk about writing, an oil painting, or a photograph.I'm not sure what you're getting at exactly. My poem isn't good art?
I guess you're right. I just thought the point I was trying to make was interesting, and worth making since I haven't seen it made anywhere else. I am much more interested in these sorts of points that challenge my worldview than I am in a worldview that's already set, but just expressed in different ways to make it prettier (although of course, those can be nice too).
But thanks for the feedback in any case, and those pics are awesome. I'm gonna save them.
I've also changed the wording of the poem a bit since last night. It looks a little better now I think.
I've only been to two funerals
in my life so far
But these funerals were some of the mot beautiful experiences
I have ever had
Am I morbid for saying,
I'm looking forward to seeing more?
How cute, they're even wearing matching Vans together. But the dude's shirt is the real winner here.
Hey thanks @ZFire. I agree, I wish I was cool enough to sport a shirt like that. How cute, they're even wearing matching Vans together. But the dude's shirt is the real winner here.
Another great shot @Joe Cuber.
That looks really nice!Bored to death here and homebound, thanks to hyperacusis. I tried to paint something to pass the time... still learning to use the material.
