That describes my own situation pretty accurately. I attribute most of my sensory processing disorder from my head injury/whiplash as a teenager, and ongoing neck issues of all sorts. The tinnitus that kicked in last Feb. has only made matters more difficult. But I at least had some effective coping techniques under my belt from my many years of dealing with all this stuff. to help me through this past extremely challenging year.it's like my brain has an extreme version of sensory overload/stimulation disorder with a particular emphasis on the ears. Did anyone else ever feel this way or is this somehow related to me/my health issues uniquely?
The vagus nerve plays a critical role in processing emotions. -- Something you may want to consider: I recently began drinking an "apple cider vinegar fasting drink". It seems to have given my whole system a generalized boost, with a greater resilience to the things that challenge me. Here's a LINK to a short video describing the drink. If you can't watch the video, the recipe is:There really feels like some sort of damage or something to my gut, the nerves and how they work that heavily influence the problems on the other end with my brain/senses/emotions.
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp stevia
All mixed in a quart of water

So I generally eat my last food around 6:00-8:00 or so, and then don't eat until close to noon the following day. If I get hungry (which I don't often do), I just sip on my ACV fasting drink. All the ingredients balance out blood sugar levels.
Some people have reported tinnitus improvement, from taking ACV internally and using a diluted solution for ear drops. My own tinnitus seems to have a slightly softer edge since drinking this the past few days. I think this drink could possibly help your digestive/gut issues. And whatever is good for the gut, is almost assuredly good for vagus nerve function. -- Best...
