Post Your Favorite Quote(s)!

I was told that my now ex-doctor was great, too. I put too much trust in his expertise. I shouldn't have. But it's not just him, it's others in the medical field I have encountered too. But we all need doctors at one point or another, so it is good that you have found that you are happy with.

I still say: Never trust a doctor.

Thank-you, as I said earlier, he is a good doctor.

I really do understand where you are coming from, all to gain. Our personal experiences are very different.

Not really a favourite quote, but a quote I came across today which brings some things home to me:

"There are three stages in the life of a new mental health drug: euphoria, then medical doubts, then lawsuits."

In other words, the scientists have no real idea what they are doing to us...

~Which is why, when prescribed a medication, any medication by any doctor, we must always go home and do our homework, Research, research and more research. Taking our own health into our hands is vitally important~ Me

It was my own doctor who suggested that I do just this before making the decision to take/not take the clonazepam that he prescribed for me, due to far too many patients and far too little time allowed for each patient. He was blatantly honest with me, which I am grateful for.

This is not everyone's experience, unfortunately.

See that was good and honest of him! I thought I was taking my own health in my hands by questioning the dr, but unfortunately I got the wrong answers. Kick myself everyday for it. For taking his word.

The problem is that many drs see themsleves as gods, ie that they have a free madate to do what they want and that the patient is of lesser intelligence than them. I thought my dr wasn't like that until, too late, I realised that he is. Plus we are brought up to put trust in drs and that they know best.

~Forgive yourself for not knowing better at the time. Forgive yourself for giving away your power. Forgive yourself for past behaviors. Forgive yourself for the survival patterns and traits you picked up while enduring trauma. Forgive yourself for being who you needed to be~

Some people are stronger, faster, smarter, or live longer, but by no means should that make them any better. It doesn't matter what choice you make in life as long as it's your own. People will inevitably disagree, and there will be more hardships than there ever will be rewards. However, as long as you put everything on the line and fight for what you believe is right, then that's all the conviction you need to be truly great. After all, men fight because they have something to prove.
