Post Your Favorite Songs

I am a huge fan of Raymond Carlos Nakai who is a Native American flautist of Navajo/Ute heritage. I find his music (at a reasonable volume, of course) beautifully serene and relaxing. Set speakers appropriately and enjoy if you would like to listen. You will also see the Native American cave paintings of long ago as the music plays.

Usually only do the country music thread but this one isn't even though Blake Sheldon is in it. Just thought it was kind of cool even though it has something to do with the Voice show.

I know that feeling. :(
I do not want to end up "fearing" something that I love so much and which have given me so many great momemts of joy, but some music genres I just cannot listen to any more, which sadly means little or no time for heavy rock and metal, as they trigger my tinnitus to a place where it can go weeks (sometimes even months) before I feel it is back to "normal" again.

By the way that was a very relaxing song you posted. I have never heard much of his solo albums/songs, but the work he did with Bowie, Fripp and Roxy Music are legendary, and I might have to find some albums of him and give them a go.

I noticed the videos of Bill Evans , a post or two above by Victoria9273 and I'll continue with another great number:

The first album I bought from Brian Eno was "here come the warm jets".
Initially I did not know if I liked this music.
Now I think it is one of the best albums I know.
I think Brian Eno is very versatile. Much to choose from.
I long for the day that I can sit and listen, eyes closed, to this music again. In my experience, listening to music albums like this used to be exploring and travelling in the mind. Visceral!

Damn, my post would be endless if I posted all my favourite songs, hahaha. But well. Here's some of them:

Rise Against - Make it Stop - this one just speaks to me.
Rise Against - Swing Life Away - I just adore this song.
P!nk - I am Here - I had to get used to the tune of her new album, but I instantly fell in love with this one. It just speaks to me like just like Make it Stop.
P!nk - Barbies - another one of her news song I instantly fell involve with.
P!nk - Family Portrait - another song that just speaks to me.
Three Days Grace - Animal I have Become - I'm so gutted that I never got to go a Three Days Grace concert before Adam left.
The Sound of Silence - Disturbed - I know this is a cover, but I actually prefer this over the original song, because I love the vulnerability in Disturbed's version.
Passenger - Riding to New York - this one is so damn sad and touching. I think Passenger is a really underrated musician.

I could go on and on, hahaha. For example my playlist with favorites from P!nk and Rise Against counts every one of their albums

Haha, you're welcome, and you're right. I didn't even think about that :D
Let's hope that we'll someday get to rediscover the sound of silence!

Uh and. Two other favorites I forgot. (Because obviously I have a LOT of favorites )

Never Surrender - Like a Storm - one of my go to songs if I for some reason need to remind myself how far I've come.

'Till it Happens to You - Lady GaGa - I just find this one so relatable. I know it is written about sexual assaults but I think the text can be applied to so many other forms of struggle as well. Also I like how you're actually able to hear how beautiful GaGa's voice actually is when it isn't autotuned to point where it as almost unrecognizable.

I like listening to a lot of Pink Floyd, which I find quite theraputic at times. I will listen to a lot of things though, depending on where the mood takes me!
