Hi @OptimistWarrior, things did settle. I'm careful to get more sleep and watch my dairy intake. I also take antihistamines when I'm feeling drainage in my ears.
I don't mind.Do you mind if I ask a few questions here? I totally understand if it's a no-go.
Thank you so much.I don't mind.Ask away.
I did not get sound distortions until I had hyperacusis and loud tinnitus for about 2 1/2 years. Occasionally I'll get that reverberation sound, especially when I raise my voice. I don't remember fluttering, maybe a little. My tones with tinnitus have stayed the same, an airplane engine, jingle bell ringing (most annoying), and a clicking or tapping (Morse-code or typewriter tinnitus). I think stress and lack of sleep are the two things that most affect both. I think over time, it's been 3 years now, my response has become more tolerable I was on edge for the first year to year and a half. I was afraid of sound, I would run or try to get away. It's hard enough on the person experiencing it, but my son has had to experience it too. He knows we cannot go near loud noises, especially out in public. This has gotten better with time.Thank you so much.
During your early days, did you get any sound distortions? Mine are becoming less, but they are sometimes with other people's voices, and sometimes with mine. Almost like a metallic reverberation.
Did you get fluttering with certain sounds - particularly higher pitched? Was this worse in the morning?
Did the tones of your tinnitus change? And now, has it settled to more of a one-tone type?
Sending love.
When you say it's got better over time, do you mean the volume of your tinnitus, or just your reaction to it?I did not get sound distortions until I had hyperacusis and loud tinnitus for about 2 1/2 years. I would say more tolerance or reaction to it has gotten better. I try to ignore it and go on with my day. When you say it's got better over time, do you mean the volume of your tinnitus, or just your reaction to it?
