How does one habituate when their tinnitus changes pitch and tones around different things?

I have loud reactive t and bad h. At first it was just regular tinnitus and then the day after onset it changed to reactive t and I developed h at the same time it became reactive.

I just dont understand how anyone can habituate to constant changing tinnitus.

Maybe the form of habituation for this is to just not care about it even though you hear it loudly rather than pushing it to the back of your mind and not hear it (like you can if you just have regular tinnitus)? I just don't know anymore.

Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

I have had those but don't have them all the time. You may or may not find this helpful, but for me having some bigger health problems/ scares has put the whole T thing in perspective. You can still lead a normal life with T. It might be hard but it can be done. There are other things that will cripple you and prevent you from doing the things you want to.

@Jkph75 I guess I have a hard time thinking of fun things to do in my life that don't require loud noise. Especially at my age where its kinda the "thing" to go to parties, clubs, bars etc. Like what else could I possibly find joy in?? Then there's the fact of it possibly getting worse which gives me the WORST anxiety.... I'm just a train wreck lol but I completely understand what you're saying, sometimes you just need a new perspective on things.

You give your ears time to heal completely from hyperacusis. That's how.

Tinnitus may be permanent, but hyperacusis is NOT.

Also, ever notice how people 30+ don't go to clubs or loud places? Sure, maybe a few do, but the vast majority don't. People grow up and legitimately get NO pleasure from the stuff you claim to enjoy. You're only a few years away from that realization, and after such a realization, these former clubbers live for DECADES and LOVE their lives and don't regret no longer being able to club for a moment. So don't let the "omg I don't like to club" realization get to you. It's the natural realization of like 98% of people.

I spent a lot of time in bars, clubs, etc. when I was younger. Maybe if I hadn't I could have spent more time doing things that were meaningful and grown up sooner. My path was my path and there was a reason for all of it. Maybe your tinnitus will actually lead you to make different choices that will ultimately make you happier than you would have been otherwise.
