Acoustic Trauma
Hi there,

Im Mandalay, I have had tinnitus for almost 18 years from an acoustic trauma and I'm based in Germany.
I've been reading Tinnitus Talk for a while but never registered, my tinnitus is fluctuating from "1" to "4" depending on the day.

When it all started, it was bad and loud, over the years it has improved a lot, but never went away completely.

Some days it is still annoying, some days it's almost gone, it does not seem like it's connected to my mood or anything else, it just comes and goes.

At least I can be happy that it was my own stupidity that caused it, I went to the Techno Disco not realising that the music there was far too loud.

I'm sorry if my English is not correct sometimes, I will try my best.

I would like to ask some questions in a more particular section, and I would be happy to receive some answers.

Thanks Mandalay

HI @Mandalay

Welcome to the forum.

I understand your English quite well so please do not be concerned. Please ask any questions that you have on "noise induced tinnitus". You might find my articles: Tinnitus, A Personal View, Hyperacusis, As I see it, New to tinnitus what to do, helpful in the links below.

All the best
Michael
