Running and AIED (Autoimmune Inner Ear Disease)

Before I was diagnosed with AIED and tinnitus 9 years ago, I was in shape and did a lot of running.

Now, 9 yeas later I am 30 lbs heavier because I can no longer run. When I do, I get a massive headache. It takes a few hours for my head to "decompress".

Anyone else have this experience and if so what do you do for exercise?

How were you diagnosed with AIED? Which tests did you do?

I dont do much exercise, I just walk a lot. Vitamin D is important, being in the sun a bit every day!

I was first diagnosed with Ménière's disease. Then they ran bloodwork (AGI??) and found that I was steroid responsive which was AIED conclusive.
I live in Tennessee and have severe allergies to most of the trees. My ENT said that my AIED is believed to be cause by allergies.. I have bi-lateral hearing loss and tinnitus in both ears. It started with my right ear and then 4 months later my left. ...

How do you cope with these hearing issues?

I am starting to lose hearing and it is a lot harder to undersand speech in noise. It's a new thing for me.. how do you manage?

At first if was difficult but be encouraged! You will get use to a new normal! It may take a little while but you will be fine. I use a hearing aid (from Sams) in my left ear when I go out to dinner or in a room with a lot of background noise. I need to go paint my daughters room now but lets keep in touch! I can tell you some things that have worked for me!

I am looking forward to your advice to deal with hearing issues. I continue losing hearing without a known cause.. pretty stressful..
