5mg diazepam equal to ~1mg lorazepam.
Have you had a spinal MRI? MS lesions do not always appear on the brain. In some cases they only appear on the spine.Maybe I have multiple sclerosis because I had 2 times mild sudden hearing loss with tinnitus and followed by hyperacusis that the hearing came back with corticosteroids.
Also I feel a strange sensation in my feet (strange vibration) and I have frequent urination.
These symptoms are typical in multiple sclerosis but also benzo withdrawal can cause these.
I have done 3 MRIs & 1 MRA with 1.5T machine all clear no sign for lesion.
I don't know I think 55% is from multiple sclerosis, 45% from benzo withdrawal.

How did you deal with the MRI with severe hyperacusis?
I actually had a head and neck MRI 8 or so years ago and they found a single white lesion on my brain, I was told by the neurologist that they didn't think it was MS. I was supposed to have a followup MRI, but never did. Now with Hyperacusis I don't think I want to.
with very good earmuffs + corticosteroids (cures/improves temporarily my hyperacusis)
mine MRIs/MRA are clean/good by 1.5T machine, I don't know if they are clean with 3T machine.
Do you have other neurological symptoms other than hyperacusis?
Do you have response to corticosteroids?
Your tinnitus & hyperacusis improve with corticosteroids?
Maybe you got a cold? It can make temporary low frequency loud ring.My other ear started to ring, low frequency, very loud.
For me that seems to help a lot for my H (fluticason).Do you have response to corticosteroids?
