I have had sinus congestion for many months prior to the onset of tinnitus which is more of a static hissing. I do not recall the onset date but it's been about two months. I also don't know the cause. I believe it's PTSD related from the death of my child in 2019 and also lots of inordinate amounts of stress unrelated to his death.
I've had visits to ENTs, allergist, urgent care. Had a CT scan and nasal scope but nothing positive to explain the tinnitus.
Does anyone here have unexplained sinus issues? I never had sinus issues before except with a cold. There is no discharge, watery eyes, sneezing etc. I have a hard time breathing through one nostril or the other and sometimes it's clear. Neti pot does nothing nor does Flonase. I think it's connected to the hissing but how to know?
