Cause of Tinnitus
Unsure
I have been having low T for past 2 weeks but yesterday I had a headache and decided to take a kind of Panadol called Sinus Max and also did some sinus irrigation using Sinus Rinse from Neilmed.

This morning I woke up with low T as well to go toilet and then went back to sleep and woke up less than 30 minutes later with a loud T.

What happened? Why when I went toilet everything was fine and the moment I took a short nap and woke up with a loud T? Was it the Panadol I took yesterday night or the sinus rinsing? Why just after a short sleep the T become loud?

Sometimes a short nap can cause it to go up in volume. It should come back to baseline shortly.

I think this happens to most people that dozing off will vastly increase there tinnitus. My biggest problem my T will be very low but if I even nod off for only 2 minutes anytime during the day I wake up with full blown screaming tinnitus. It does this 100% of the time.

Also if I wake up around 4am and my tinnitus is low and then go back to sleep and get up at 6am 100% of the time my tinnitus again is screaming. Many times in the past if it's low at 4am I will just get up and start my day then. Very frustrating.

So what about nowadays?

Doesn't Sinus Max have Phenylephrine in it? I can't do that stuff, it turns my squealing ears into fire engines.
Is a sinus rinse the same as the neti pot thing? I tried the neti pot and must've got the water in my ear somehow and my T got furious for a few months. That was a few years ago. Maybe they've improved these things.

If t is largely attentional, then it is possible that your monitoring is drawing attention to your sound, causing you to subjectively judge the sound as louder. Maybe do as several others have practiced as described in the back to silence threads or as Dr Nagler suggests in his posts; trt, or cbt?

Other than lack of sleep, I cannot pin my spikes to anything specific. One thing I have found about t is it is predictably unpredictable. so, to me it doesn't make sense to focus any further attention on the actual noise given the above. focus on your reactions.

@Thongjy sinus rinse does not cause much issues in any case, unless u are doing it wrongly.
if u have stuffy/blocked nose just use a steamer and also buy user self a humidifier for your bed room and your office desk if you can. Steam inhalation would help with blocked nose, also u can try salt water nasal spray.

no Panadol does not cause spike in T, unless it got other additives in it.
