I`m having a bit of a hard time lately because I`m just tired all the time ... i`m yawning throughout the day and my eyes feel heavy and itchy. I sleep around 7 hours a night but I go to bed quit late because my pattern is disturbed with weekend working and also because I just try to forget about T in the evening by watching a movie or a serie ... ofcourse I hear it while watching it but at least my mind is otherwise engaged. Than when that finishes it`s around 1-2 am and I go to bed ... waking up around 9 but feeling very tired. So I feel that i`m loosing energy increasingly over the years now. Before I had T I had some kind of itch in my bdoy ... I had this for around 5 years with episodes going from few weeks to a few months and breaks only very short like a week or so. I would almost get no sleep and would be in constant stress because my body was itching constantly. I felt isolated and could not focus on friends and family ... than because some changes it dissappeared ... few months after that T came. So for the past 10 years I have gone from a diagnosed ADHD hyperactive person ... to my sitting on the couch yawning not speaking much, not feeling like doing much ...

anyone see any pattern or link or have advice?

I`m just burned out I guess ...

When i'm really stressed about something, I try to have some "intense" physic activities in the day, to evacuate the energy I have. So when i go to sleep its not only me but also my body who whant to rest.

You seems to be in avicious circle : you have T, you have difficulties to sleep, you are tired, you re not in the mood to act, and so you try to put the T out of your head. But It seems to disturbyour rythm of life and sleep.

Maybe you should Try to break this vicious circle and organize your activities with one only goal : hace a better sleep. Have physic activities when you can, try to forget your T with other things that TV or computer ( it excites your brain, bad for sleep).

But how is your mental? Do you feel depressed about your T? Because if it's the case a specialist can help you... i had some harsh periods, when i wad almost depressed, and even if it was not a solution itself, anxyolitics helped me to relax, and i only took them a few days... after that i felt better.
I don't want to push you in this way anyway, i'm just talking about my experience.

Hope you will get better.

I'm exhausted even after 8 hours of sleep, in fact all I ever want to do is go to bed. Within a hour of getting up I've had enough of it, it would be nice if I could sleep 20 hours a day, T would be a lot more manageable this way.

Sleep has really been a bear for me over the past 4 months or so between the ramped-up tinnitus, headaches and jaw/neck pain.

I've followed all of the usual protocols for getting good sleep (get up the same time every morning; don't use the bedroom for anything other than nighttime sleep; no daytime naps; etc.) Tried melatonin for 3+ weeks. I had planned to do more exercise, hoping that that would tire me out enough to get better sleep. But significant exercise just makes my headaches worse so that's out.

I've never been what you'd call a world champion sleeper, but now I just suck at it. Can't get to sleep, and when I do I can't stay asleep.

Good luck, nills. Hope things improve for you. Wish I had some good advice, but I'm struggling with sleep too.

I know some portion of those diagnosed with ADHD have the itching problem you describe, but have you gone to see a dermatologist just to see if your itching problem might be rooted in a skin problem like eczema?

I remembered reading something about eczema and ADHD in kids and so I backtracked to find it. "Now, a study of more than 43,000 children with eczema suggests that these kids are also at increased risk for a diagnosis of attention deficit disorder (ADHD)." http://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-...news/20030325/adhd-skin-disease-may-be-linked

If you haven't already done so, I'd suggest seeing a dermatologist. Maybe you can get the itching part under control at least.

Just to update this thread: ME/CFS is a REAL disease, so people should be careful in using the term chronic fatigue if their T is making them more tired than usual. People with chronic fatigue syndrome typically have debilitating fatigue to the point where even speaking to someone is difficult to do. On top of that, they get weird brain fogs and derealization.

More on ME/CFS: people report that it usually happens after a severe bout of the flu or other infection. However, due to reasons not understood by medical science, they are never the same afterwards.
