Solsaem Clinic (Dr. Minbo Shim) Experience

I smell BS. No way have you gone over to Asia to get some treatment that miraculously has cured your hearing loss and tinnitus. It would be worldwide news if it was safe and effective.
Why is John posting useless travel pictures, when he could be posting pictures of Dr Minbo Shim and the clinic confirming the veracity of his story?
Seems skepticism is still alive and well here before John even has a chance to share the rest of his story and results. Some say if this is a real cure then why isn't it known worldwide.

Ironically I have personally seen a cure to another worldwide health condition called Multiple Sclerosis. Yet the treatment and clinic is not known worldwide and actually there are active smear websites targeting the very clinic that provides it when Googled.

So 10 years ago a friend of mine started noticing symptoms of MS. Tripping over his feet all the time and eventually leading into needing a wheelchair to get around. He started taking MS drugs prescribed by his doctor in the US. They were barely working and the side effects were terrible. Years before, he lived in Germany for a year for work and was familiar with certain cities and the language and decided to see if there were any other options there. He found this one clinic touting natural therapies for MS. And cancer. But he was just interested in the MS therapy. So he gets a friend to help him go back to Germany and this clinic. He's there for 2 weeks getting treatment and then comes back to the US with literally an entire suitcase packed with a 6 month supply of meds like IV bags and pills he needs to take 3 times a day. He had an IV port installed in his chest for the IVs and he has to do self IVs every other day and then taking these horse sized pills 3 times a day.

Within about 3 weeks of the initial treatment, he's out of the wheel chair and using those hand crutches. About 2 weeks later he is walking on his own with limp. Eventually no limp and walking completely normal, even briskly. So I saw this treatment cure a person right in front of me when most people in the US are screwed. Eventually word got around in his circle as he works in entertainment and I go to his house one day and Warren freakin Betty is there asking him about his treatment for a close a friend of his. We tried to reach out to Terry Garr but she wouldn't hear it saying if it worked why doesn't her doctor know about it.

So I saw this treatment work. From someone bound to a wheelchair to walking. Sure he has to take these meds, all natural, for the rest of his life, can't skip a day. But it worked. Yet when I google the clinic, the first few links that show up are specifically targeting the clinic as a sham which tells me there are other parties at play here to oppress alternative cures fueled by financial gain.

@JohnAdams isn't accustomed to posting his face online and that is a very normal thing. Nothing strange about that. He said most of the clinic shots has his face in it. So he's taking his time to feel comfortable in doing so even though he normally wouldn't but he's trying to because he knows how much of a big deal this is to some of us. So he's trying at his own pace. And I personally like the travel shots because it helps me get a real sense of what it's like to go there if I consider going which is a huge deal for someone like me who has debilitating tinnitus when every street, every building, every elevator, etc... matters.

So I hope we can give John his space and let him post images when he feel comfortable in doing so. Attacking him is not going to help and I feel attackers can be suspect as well because they are trying to derail another possible treatment outside of the establishment. Because it makes sense to me as to why this treatment is rare and why this clinic is possibly the only one doing this type of therapy for tinnitus at the moment. Because we are screwed at the moment. ENT's and establishments in the US and UK have nothing for us except for things we don't want to hear like habituation, hearing aids and CBT. So it's not a surprise some medical professionals are taking matters into their own hands and trying something new.

Yes, scams are possible, but I also have seen first hand some of those types of pioneers are also legit and can actually have a cure the many parts of the world don't want you to know about.

I didn't expect to be questioned and made sound like I'm a liar... Why would I lie about this? I work your normal 9-5 job and saved very hard for this treatment. Now I'm $3,000 poorer and feeling worse than I did before.
What I really want to see is proof that @Assumpta lost $3000 thru Western Union. If I lost that kinda money, I would be posting proof left and right. If John can post proof he traveled 1000's of miles to freakin Korea, then I implore @Assumpta to post his Western Union receipt.

Canned silkworm pupa smell and taste like a dusty old hoarder's house that hasn't been cleaned in 20 years on a hot summer's day. They aren't very meaty, they are like slightly crunchy cardboard. My translator that Dr. Shim hired for my appointments said that mostly only older people eat bugs and younger people don't.
Bugs are the future protein source for earth. No methane emissions and cheap to produce. I like them fried. Crickets that is. Like your photos dude. Don't pay any mind to Ann, she's feeling grumpy today. I believe you buddy. Never doubted you for a second. I can't eat after my surgery. I'm looking forward to feasting in a couple weeks time. On about my 9th or tenth day of cold fruit shakes now.

Did you splurge for Sashimi in Korea? I bet it's amazing. We have a huge Korean population here, and lots of good K food. K pop, I object to intellectually and aesthetically.

Did you know that Koreans do the most plastic surgery in the world. Nose jobs are high school graduation presents. My acupuncturist here is Korean, he's really cool and old school. We tried, but cell regeneration is what I need and what you went for.

Do what you need to do, when you want to. And I appreciate the " poke hole", important safety feature.

Look, I have her blocked, and my "view ignored stuff" and "unignore" buttons have been revoked so I cannot unblock. I kinda wish I didn't have her blocked because she really isn't a bad person, she just has strong opinions. I have noticed that she can come off as very negative but she never struck me as a liar and she has never participated in any of the lying smear attacks that have befallen me. She is obviously interested in this and is super skeptical, which is totally fine with me. She also isn't coming to this thread and making up bullcrap either.

According to Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the greatest man born of woman was John the Baptist, and his diet was locusts (grasshoppers) and honey.

Did you splurge for Sashimi in Korea?
No. I ate mostly at that restaurant from that picture with the 3 Korean women. It was super good, super cheap and the quantity of food was enough to last 3 meals. It was like a 3 minute walk from my apartment and it was convenient to go in there with them knowing I couldn't speak Korean and knowing I would need help. Their menu was large and I really loved the food. My translator said there was a word for that type of restaurant with a big menu and cheap food but I forgot what it was. I also went out to eat with Dr. Shim at this phenomenal steak house where they bring you out a huge dish of assorted raw beef and you cook it on a grill on the table. I actually got to know him and talk to him a lot.

That being said, I know the man, I respect him. He is not a scammer, he is not a quack. He is a multi talented doctor and perhaps a profound genius. He is very down to earth. He has been treating anosmia with PRP for like 4 years, a full year before that paper on PRP curing anosmia was published, IN THE AMERICAN TINNUTS JOURNAL. So, if anyone wants to come here and accuse him of impropriety then I'm going to defend him because I know better. I let the man do around 80 surgical procedures on me over the course of two weeks.

You mean Korean BBQ? That shit has got a cult following here in LA. Korean food is bomb. Those side dishes, too. When I was in China, my favorite restaurant was Korean

The weather was the same as Tennessee, where I live. So that was convenient.
I liked Tennessee... scenic with the Ozarks. Been through there 2-3 times driving down to Florida in the past. We got dumped on with snow this Feb. in southern MN. I know some states have bad ice storms affecting powerlines, trees, etc....maybe Tennesee is one?

I guess it was the Appalachian Mountains, not the Ozarks.

No, it wasn't BBQ. Are you talking about bulgogi?
Nope, Korean BBQ is not like western BBQ with sweet sauces. It's basically slabs of meat you grill yourself at the table. They usually cut up the meat with scissors right then and there. It's very popular and what Korean food is known for only second to Kimchee.

We have a Mongolian restaurant here. Is that similar to Korean? Meat and vegetables are cooked on large, round, solid iron griddle.

Apparently it causes some small degree of conductive hearing loss.

I have a notch at 14 kHz in that ear. Whether that's from the scar, the infection that caused the scar, or other issues (noise, drugs) I have no idea, just repeating what an ENT told me.

I've been told by an ENT that my scarred eardrums may be a cause as well...

Apparently they're a real mess!

Yeah that's what I did.

X5A is the bomb! I bought some MPows first, because I thought I'd look less stupid with them, but instant regret.

I'm loving these travel pics, actually. Why would anyone doubt this story? You can doubt Shim's methods, but I doubt John went to the local Koreatown to take pics. lol

Agree. John is 100% legit. He went. Who knows if Minbo's ear juice works? Who knows if Neuromod works? All we can do is throw money around and hope like hell because the only thing we can be sure as shit about is nobody else gives a fuck about stopping this noise. We're flying solo.

Yes. How many people here have spent thousands of dollars on TRT, CBT, useless ENTs, supplements, CBD oil, etc. searching for some way to fix this? The only real risk here was a possibility it could worsen my HL and tinnitus and I was flying home exactly a month ago, and I am definitely not any worse. I honestly can't believe that thread was up for two years and nobody else had the notion to just follow through and go and give it a try. All the people crying doom and gloom about it are just babies waiting for mommy FDA to say it's okay.

It's a strange feeling.
We on this forum are connected in this suffering, but none of us seem to to have IRL acquaintances as affected as ourselves.

I do. A client of mine is a tenured UCLA professor and had debilitating tinnitus after going to a concert to celebrate her daughter graduating. She uses these micro sized hearing aids and says it stops her tinnitus in its tracks. She can tell when they go bad because her tinnitus starts to slowly come back. She gave me one to try but I never used it because I avoid anything type of speaker device as they spike my tinnitus.

Woah, fantastic. I take it she lives a fairly normal life these days.
If only the rest of us could be so lucky, and soon.

Any chance you could have her come on here and tell us about her experiences?
I'm quite curious if anyone found out whether or not she has any hearing loss.
