I hate the time right before my period starts! It's so damn loud! My ringing is not only reactive but it's even worse tonight and it's driving me crazy. I've read that this can happen for other women. So awful. I just want to sleep. Beautiful, blissful sleep.
What do you mean when you say you have reactive tinnitus?@TuneOut I've heard the increase in hormones and blood can cause the tinnitus to go up temporarily. But I realized that I also have reactive tinnitus and its been a awful lately.
If I try to mask my tinnitus at all it tries to compete with the noise and gets louder. I just have to try and sleep with the ring. What do you mean when you say you have reactive tinnitus?
Thank you! I'm trying...my son is everything and I just want to be his mom.Ugh, I feel your pain on hormones impacting tinnitus. As if they don't cause enough havoc. I cannot even imagine how awful menopause will be!
Just try to hang in there, we ladies are tough and you'll make it!
I have that as well. I've had it for a month and a half now. Been sadly mines been getting worse. Not that it's gotten louder, but I keep getting new tones. Been hell for me.If I try to mask my tinnitus at all it tries to compete with the noise and gets louder. I just have to try and sleep with the ring.
That truly means a lot. I will let myself cry it out a ton, that can help a little and I like checking with the forum. I'm trying to go about my day...give my son a bath, feed him lunch, read to him. I started taking Alpha Lipoic Acid to see if that would help just a bit and tons of clean eating.I've seen other women say the same thing on here. All I can say is tinnitus can mess with your head, and it ain't an easy ride. But, You've got the full support of everyone on here. Like fishbone said, just vent away, because it really helps to offload your emotions onto others. Your son is lucky to have such a caring mom, so I hope you find some respite. All the best to you.
I have had very similar thoughts. Tinnitus with young children . . . well it's an added complication. It's challenging to be present and engaged when you're dealing with intrusive tinnitus.Thank you! I'm trying...my son is everything and I just want to be his mom.
