Stress and Medication
Hello. This is my first post. I have had tinnitus for over 7 years. I thought I had a control of it until I recently lost my beloved dog and my father got really sick. These stresses got my tinnitus out of control. Lower and more high pitch sound.

I went to ENT and discovered I have a Meniere's disease also! Yes, I have been dizzy for a week now.

I have been talking to many people about my problems but this is the only site that I found and I can share and learn about Tinnitus.

I have been trying to be positive but some days are very hard.

So glad I found this website.

Hearing conditions can be very isolating, and stress can exacerbate them.

There are a number of people here with Meniere's. @glynis comes to mind.

@Peppermint ,
Welcome to Tinnitus Talk.

I have Meniere's Desease.
It can take time to diagnose and tests.

For now you can take medication to stop the dizziness like-
Betahistine, Proclorperazine, Cinnarazine 15mg.

love glynis

Hope you feel better soon, with time and once the events are behind you, perhaps it will go back to normal.

Thank you so much guys.
Everyone's words meant so much to me.
Doctor finally prescribed Dyazide today. It kind of helped me for dizziness. But doing nothing for my tinnitus. I should not even think this med will help for T.
I agree MuffinMan. I probably had Meniere from the beginning but no one could diagnosed it. Doctor found out cause I get dizzy from eating Salt.
I am going to sound therapy in November. I am trying everything to get better.
