Tell Me Your Happy Place

Mine happy place changes. 2 weeks ago I would take showers as fast as I can't because my tinnitus would become really loud in the shower. Now? I take longer showers because my T is more subtle. 2 weeks ago my tinnitus was louder at night so I would fear going to sleep. I would only get 4 hours of sleep on average (Once I woke up at 2 in the morning and I couldn't go back to sleep at all. Slept only 2 hours). Now, my tinnitus is lower at night and I've slept better the past couple days. (Now I get 6-7 hours of sleep). My tinnitus is all over the place. Haha. :)

I loooove taking showers too! I feel like nothing can hurt me in the shower, the sound is so peaceful. I'm currently fearing sleep, think I have an ear infection making it worse at the moment for me. I'm glad you have 2 happy places though :)

I am in my happy place right now; the bath. My bathroom has a fan that hides my T and the washing machine is on in the laundry room so "no" T! Bubble baths are my happy place.

Where is yours? :)
With you in the bath.

I'm kidding, you're too young :)

My happy place is in dreams where I am free of my noise!

Making music...no doubt, best place in the world, no time, no worries, nothing, except making music.
The very definition of living in the NOW :)

Tokyo, went for a week and barely thought about my T, was also the best week of my life - proves you can still have great times even with T. :)

My happy place is with out a dought is on the British Tinnitus Association and on Tinnitus Talk supporting people with tinnitus or Menieres on the forum,by pm's and phone calls .....lots of love glynis

Shower for sure, I'm going get a steam shower installed. I take 3 or 4 a day, so so relaxing. If my ears hurt and my T is drilling my brain, into the shower I go.

In the pool. I love just floating on top of the water on my back. Ears filled with water, just floating. It's the most soothing thing to me. I hear the water...nothing else. Of course this only works when there is no one else in the pool. I love walking outdoors where I can hear nature too, it keeps my mind off my ears.

In a landscape with millions of crickets - because it mixes with my T or covers it.
Besides that, whirlpool (which I have at home) or shower - also because they cover my T.

In the mountains looking at greens and nature of God , although I wish I could enjoy the silence behind it , but I have no luck with that :(

In the shower, even if I plug my ears in the shower I can't hear the t. I live on 2 acres out of town and outside of a night-time is crickets and frogs galore, my t blends in and it doesn't bother me.

- Shower, with the added bonus of having hot water massaging my aching muscles. I do feel bad about all the water and energy use, though.
- In bed, with warm sheets all around me, and a record on which takes me to another world and back.
- Travelling in a foreign country, just walking unknown streets which 'force' you to be in the moment. Although I won't have the money to do so for the next couple of years.

Getting lost in a book is also great, but harder to achieve. Also, looking at photos of rabbits usually cheers me up. Nice profile picture, @glynis ! :)

Camping with my family....outdoors...with the crickets lots of crickes like @Martin69 said. I'm going to miss the crickets when winter sets. Can't wait to move down south. And yes, doing dishes. The shower used to be a happy place until my hair started to fall... :(, now I dread it. Sigh.

My bathtub at night with my wife... also laying in bed with her at night. I am still pretty freaked out half the time with this. I don't have much of a mental happy place yet. My T the last couple weeks is low when I wake sometimes. I just lay there and relax; I even dozed off with no masking a couple times lately...
