It's strange, it's pretty constant, except it stops if somebody is talking to me, then it starts again in the silence to fill in the gaps. The sounds I listed also help to stop or disrupt it. It doesn't alter when I move so it's not somatic. I have higher tones that aren't somatic either. I got the works!I'm happy you've been able to manage your hum, it gives me more confidence. Does your hum seem to change depending on sounds/head movements/travel or is it a constant hum?
Oh, audiobooks work too, for the reason given above. You can set a timer on Amazon's Audible app. In the past I've tended to wake up during the last chapter of the book before that feature was added!
