My greatest passion in life is ice cream so I thought I would begin an ice cream thread! I will rate every ice cream I try. Feel free to add your own. :rockingbanana:

I shall begin with my favourite, Ben and Jerry's "The Tonight Dough"

"Caramel & Chocolate Ice Creams with Chocolate Cookie Swirls & Gobs of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough & Peanut Butter Cookie Dough"

This ice cream is seriously AMAZING.

Rating: 10/10

That's an extremely nice ice cream! My personal favorite is the single scoop strawberry ice cream with a chocolate dip. Sometimes, you can't beat the classics.

Ben & Jerry's Americone Dream. I'm sure the container should last at least 2 days but it doesn't.:dohanimation:

This is lousy timing, I'm trying to cut back on sweets but now I want ice cream. :p

Chocolate ice cream with chocolate brownie pieces. Pretty much any and all kinds with chocolate.

I'm lactose-intolerant. I've tried every non-dairy frozen desert I could find. Most of them are made of soy or rice. They usually have a funny aftertaste. But I finally found one that is so delicious I would eat it even I could have real ice cream. It's called Coconut Bliss and the dark chocolate flavor is amazing. :hungry:

Thanks for the thread Holly. I had to stop at the grocery store and pick up some Americone Dream. I wonder if reading success story posts will work like reading ice cream posts? (y)

No worries! I've had such an awful few weeks with a spike I thought I'd try and stay positive, ice cream helps!

I wonder if the brain freeze can freeze T. We should try that! :woot:

@SugarMagnolia do you know the brand name of this ice cream? Sounds delicious!
Is this it?
Yes, that's it. Coconut Bliss is the brand. I get the dark chocolate bars and it takes all my self-control not to eat them all at once.

https://coconutbliss.com/bliss/dark-chocolate-bars

Not only are they delicious, they're made from healthy organic ingredients. I had given up on a lot of the dairy substitutes I used to buy because the ingredients were too artificial. Before I developed lactose-intolerance, I never became vegan because I didn't want to eat artificial dairy substitutes instead of natural dairy products. But once I couldn't eat dairy anymore, I started eating them because I missed ice cream and especially cheese. But the ingredients bothered me so I gradually gave them up. I was happy to find Coconut Bliss because I get to enjoy ice cream without feeling like I'm eating something that's mainly corn syrup solids.

I try and eat healthy in my everyday life but....... Ice Cream is my weakness (along with cheese and onion crisps) I never discriminate against any type of ice cream.... ever... it's all good

Tonight's ice cream was "Intense Coffee" by Woolworths (a large supermarket chain in Australia)

"Creamy caffeine infused vanilla ice cream with aromatic vanilla bean"

It was pretty good for a budget ice cream ($3 a tub) but I probably wouldn't buy it again. I would rather an Affogato using good quality vanilla ice cream.

4/10

Woolworths ~ that takes me back! Woolworths went out of business here in the USA about 20 years ago. When I was a kid we called it the "five and ten." I would sit at the counter with my grandma having an ice cream soda before we would shop. Even as an adult, I did a lot of shopping there because they had a little bit of everything.

Ok, so I made my own ice cream yesterday afternoon. It was vanilla, Nutella and peanut butter, it was so nice people... like soooo good. Got the recipe online and nealry ate whole the bloody tub. :bawling:
I blame this thread, as I had barley touched ice cream in ages......

@Holly1987

I have a favorite Sushi restaurant where I like to go and I always end my meal with three small scoops of ice-cream. Green Tea, Red Bean and Mango. I love them all equally, no playing favorites.:p

Unfortunately ice cream reviewing is on hold whilst I lose weight for my wedding dress hahaha

I was very ambitious and got a dress 1 size too small thinking I would lose weight before the wedding. Bigggg mistake!

Fresh ice cream from dairy farm drive-in shops used to be the best of all, those days are long gone.

Chocolate is the devil's food, lol! I got soooooooo addicted once that I put on 9st and went from a size 10 to a size 22 (UK sizes) I then worked my butt off to lose that weight and tone up again and break my addiction to chocolate and am now 9st and a size 10 , I can also eat chocolate in moderation now and enjoy it more.

Devil's food, I couldn't have said it better, lol! Truth be known, like you, I resist all things chocolate for the most part. I do enjoy a couple of squares of dark chocolate every now and then, though. Now, crispy, salty snacks....heaven help me!:dohanimation:

Congratulations on your weight loss and getting toned! You should be very proud of yourself.
