The Positivity Thread

Even before I had tinnitus I slept with a fan on low/mid volume and didn't have a proper sleep schedule. It wasn't till after tinnitus when I truly appreciated sleep
@Contrast I think we have all come to the same conclusion at some point since getting T. By this I mean we come to appreciate many things that we once took for granted. For me the simple pleasure of closing my eyes and hearing nothing has gone, this is so hard sometimes.

I had 2 doctors appointments today.
Long walks from where i parked for both.
My GP finally prescribed NSAIDs that actually work as my pain was to the point of distraction.
My second appointment was seeing a psychiatrist to get a group therapy refferal. That worked out too.
All in all a very productive day and i did not give into my T once.

A productive day and standing up to your T? That is some good news @David Dubros.

Here's hoping tomorrow is another good day.

Hi all.
T is very low today and im so grateful.
Just listening 2the kids playing and they're laughter.
My back injury is healing as i can sit down now without pain.
The NSAIDs i got from my GP really work well.
Last nite was the first nite i slept right through.
Hope you all find a little prace today.

I love this thread!

@David Dubros, your post made my day. So very happy for you! A good nights sleep is vital for all of us and when you actually manage to do just that, well, it's wonderful!

Went to sleep at 4 this aft and woke at 6 tonite to silence.
Again i am very grateful to the powers that be.
I am listening to some Miles Davis-Kind of Blue and wondering what tomorrow will bring.
But i would rather try to stay in the moment.
Wishing all of you some peace

@emmalee
Thank you. Hoping things are ok with you.
I have been enjoying your peaceful sayings on your thread.
Very nice to read and reflect on them.
@David Dubros

Things are better than yesterday, thankfully. Thanks for asking Dave. Quotes help me put my feelings into words and they are good to refer back to when I'm down. Glad you like them.

@David Dubros & @Rob Hammer

So guys, what do you think of this glorious spring weather? Couldn't have come at a better time for me, that's for sure. I was beginning to think we were going to be in winter clothing forever, lol!

On the other hand...there is now yard work to do....I'll take it!:)

I hope you are both doing well.

@emmalee ...
Hi there Emmalee. Glad you're enjoying this sunshine.
Got up early and my T was low.
Listened to the radio for a bit and then took misses to church .
She prayed the rosary and picked up some holy water which she sprinkles on my ears. Lol
She lit candles and we we left.
Shes visiting her mom and dad while i go for Tim's.
My injury is better in my back but i also have torn ligaments in my upper thigh groin area. Painful.

Hope your T has been low and you've been enjoying yourself.
Its been a real learning curve to have been hit with the T later in life. Im 60 and have alot of years ahead of me.
But i try not to give T too much attention as that is what it wants.
Better to keep busy and put it in perspective.
Anyway im blathering and will stop.
All the best today and moment to moment to you.

@David Dubros

You are certainly not blathering, I enjoy hearing how you are doing. You know, you are absolutely right when you say
But i try not to give T too much attention as that is what it wants.
Better to keep busy and put it in perspective.

Today I will do exactly this.

Look what I found on my walk today. HOPE abounds!

Wow ...
Really pretty. Mother nature can be cruel but she can also be very beautiful.
My mother would say
"Don't hurry
Don't worry
And dont forget to smell the flowers"

Thank you for sharing the photo.

I haven't read many of the posts yet (I will), but I just wanted to stop by to say..

I will definitely be visiting the forums if only to offer support. I feel like I've finally come to accept my tinnitus overall and maybe I can help others do the same.

I really appreciate the forum and am ready to do my part! (y)

Thanks for making this topic btw OP:thankyousign:

@JamestheArtiste, it is very nice to meet you. :welcomesignanimation:

I bought one with a nice orange flower and planted it today.

I planted but I may have been pushing it. I got the rake out too and got a bunch of sticks off the lawn. I visited a nursery yesterday and some plants followed me home. (y)

~One life on this earth is all that we get, whether it is enough or not enough, and the obvious conclusion would seem to be that at the very least we are fools if we do not live it as fully and bravely and beautifully as we can~
