I saw this world famous retinal specialist there about the disabling floaters in my left eye. He agreed that due to their size and position, they are technically a visual disability (his EXACT words). I asked if something could be done. He said yes, there is a surgery that could fix it. I asked if he could operate on me, given that they are so bad. He said no. Like... Seriously?
You're going to look someone dead in the eye, tell them they have a disability, and that there is something that could fix it, but then tell them you won't help them?
He operates on people with floaters caused by diabetes (which are usually less serious) but you won't help me based on your own personal opinion? 4 hour round trip and 300 dollars, totally wasted.
