I am hopeful that a cure for tinnitus will come soon but unexpectedly - by a treatment designed to cure something else - but ends up relieving tinnitus as well.
It's not unheard of for this to happen.

There's a fathomable fortune to be made for a company who can cure baldness in a cheap and non-invasive way - and yet nobody has been able to make it happen.

So I am hopeful that somebody soon stumbles upon something that just happens to help with tinnitus.

This thought helps me to remain positive while seeing the newest treatments fall short over and over.
And also when listening to the so called experts and leaders in the field talk about the progress that they say are making and in which direction their research is focused.
And realizing that they are mostly all clueless and that everything that they say they are working toward achieving seems trivial.

I can't wait to hear someone say "We got this - just hang in there - You are going to be all set in a few years".

Oh man - silence in the dead of a summer night - a warm breeze in the trees under a full moon.

I would gladly sacrifice an eyeball.

.

I "cured" my baldness pattern but I ruined my male hormones. I am not the same anymore, anyway I was in a worst point two years ago. I think there is a real treatment for the condition but the potential cost for our health is too high. It can happen with tinnitus too. Maybe some team develop a drug with ugly neurological sides. Time will tell, I just hope for the best.

"Hair restoration has evolved into an easy, safe surgical procedure that works on both men and women who are experiencing thinning hair, complete hair loss or any varying degree of baldness."

If they were only this advanced for hearing loss and tinnitus.

I don't know but I hope at least half an inch...

Impossible to regrow hair once someone is completely bald in an area. Once the follicle is dead, that's it. If anything there can be a better prevention drug, like Propecia.

I agree. However, there's probably just one or two reasons for baldness, but there are several different kinds of tinnitus.

I for one think that I'll die of old age before there's a cure for my type of tinnitus. However, just something lowering it would be nice.

P.S. I don't want my hair back, should they come up with something. :)

So far, our greatest asset in a finding a tinnitus cure is hearing loss. Lots and lots of money has been poured into curing hearing loss. IF this also cures tinnitus and hyperacusis, we can be very grateful for this.

If it doesn't, or only partially or only for some types of tinnitus, we need to keep donating money to researchers finding out exactly how tinnitus and hyperacusis are caused. Don't give up!

Actually, with male pattern baldness, there are very tiny hairs remaining on your head. They're working on using those to completely regrow hair.
