Well first off let me say thank you for allowing me to join this forum. I am a US Navy veteran, and currently employed as a computer programmer.
I found this forum mostly out of desperation; I am completely terrified of what is happening to me. I am also finding it to be increasingly difficult to perform my job as it is incredibly difficult to concentrate now.
I received my Johnson & Johnson vaccine this past June. The evening of my vaccine I got terribly sick; this consisted of multiple soaking night-sweat episodes, very high fever, dizziness, and body aches etc. This was also the onset of an odd ringing in both of my ears.
It reminds me of 1000s of crickets and seems to "thump" with my pulse. Some days are better than others, but every night is a nightmare. Even if I am having a good day where the ringing is tolerable, something changes in my head when I lay down (the ringing gets terrifyingly loud). Another odd thing is the pulsing/throbbing sensation that accompanies it when I lay down (as well as some ear-popping when I swallow). I have difficulty breathing sometimes now and also get fairly dizzy during any physical activities. I was perfectly healthy before getting the shot, and I have never experience ear-ringing of any sort prior to getting vaccinated
It's now been almost 6 months with no improvement and life is getting worse and worse. I don't really know what to do. There is no transparency regarding vaccine safety, and I honestly feel like I have been duped. I just read an article that explained that it is most likely from either blood-clots or Meniere's disease, both of which seem like pretty awful things to have.
The worst part is that I have no one to talk to. I might as well tell my coworkers that I just saw Bigfoot riding a UFO. No one wants to hear about vaccine injuries, and no one wants to admit that they can happen (including the FDA).
I have never had ear problems like this before, and the ringing started that evening/early morning after getting vaccinated. How can anyone say that there is no correlation between the two?
I am currently awaiting a specialist/ENT appointment this January, but I have already seen my primary care doctor. Also, during one of the really difficult days I got really scared and visited the urgent care center at the VA. All that I got was a piece of paper saying that I have "tinnitus". However I think it is more than just tinnitus. I don't know how much longer I can take this really.
Is anyone out there experiencing anything like this from a vaccine? Did it ever improve?
