Cause of Tinnitus
Years of excessively loud headphone use
So not long ago suddenly my tinnitus got worse. I was a little spooked but it wasn't bothering me too much.

However I keep thinking it's getting worse since then (slowly).

Not to mention randomly one of my ears began to change to a higher pitch. I haven't exposed myself to loud noise (enough to damage my ears) since I lost my hearing.

Why is this happening?

I know how you feel. I had a spike yesterday and am struggling with it too. Stay strong, Taylor - you can get through it.

It's not that. I'm so young. I'm 16 I damaged my ears and now I'm paying the price, but I was just about settled in my situation. I was finally relaxed. And this, this isn't helping. :(

You're very young, and your body is more resiliant than you think. You have a good chance of recovering based on most studies. Moreoever, if you mananged to get used to it once, you'll be able to again.

Thing is I damaged my ears nearly a month ago. :( Nothing has changed. More or less gotten worse.

Hello,

Did you get into any kind of stressful situation ?

Or bad news in your life ?

How was it ?

I mean, did you feel that you got your ears damaged ?

I had been having anxiety for a while before (bad anxiety).

I first experienced the hearing loss. Later on I had fullness in my ears and a warm sensation. All these feelings stopped after a while. I was listening to music when it happened. I turned off my music and my sound was muffled and lower by comparison than before.

I forgot to mention that I soon after that fullness and warm sensation went away. I was hypersensitive to clanking and crushing sounds like dishes clanking. However after I listened to sounds under the threshold of hypersensitivity then it went away.

Hi. I'm so sorry to hear about this.

Have you seen a doctor or ENT to rule out any infection? Warm sensation, fullness and hearing loss can be symptoms of an ear infection. They're not always painful and very noticable. If that's what you have, treatment could certainly improve your symptoms.

I'm going to one soon. My only problem with the thought of it being an eat infection is that all the symptoms went away. Not to meantion all this happened right after I was listening to music.

It can be also due to heredity, if someone in your family had hearing loss...

Ah anxiety... I am also quite anxious and was way before getting my T and H...

Did you try to relax a bit before having your T ?

Yes I've been quite relaxed lately despite all this. The docs put me on antidepressants. I'm going to the ENT in 2 weeks.

Also no one in my family has bad hearing due to heredity.
