Hi,

I recently visited ENT doctors in India for tinnitus to see and the doctor had no good answer. While I was in the waiting room we met with a distant relative. He came for his son and we were talking about my tinnitus and he said that he had tinnitus for two years due to fever and ear infection and it's gone after 3-4 months of yoga (breathing exercises) he told me that his grandmother had tinnitus and he made her do same exercises and she got rid of T too.

He basically told me that yoga is the only way you can get this sorted.

I was in India for a very short time and hadn't had a chance to learn those from an instructor. I will post links from YouTube.

When doctor gave me no hope and person in the waiting room gave me some hope. So, it's been a week I am doing it.. intend to do yoga as part of my daily routine it helps me deal with my anxiety due to T and is definitely good overall.

I wanted to share this as success stories gives me hope.

Hi anusha, did the grandmother have hearing loss too? Please I am from India I have known many people who have cured their incurable deaseas, but have not heared about tinnitus gone

@anusha I believe it , yoga was mentioned 100 time in the Bhagavad Gita. This is the only things that help me . Correct Doctor don't help with this condition. All the best .

Good news anusha. Could you be more specific about the yoga exercises that were used?
The yoga which is popular in India through which so many people got cured from there incurable diseases like cancer, thyroid, BP, diabetes, is called pranayam.
Pranayam has 8 different types and postures but the most important of it is of anulomvilom and kapalbhati.

You will see any relief only after continued practice of half an hour daily for 3 to 4 months.

If you found any relief please spread this message.

Bhramari pranayam
This exercise is even showed by my ENT in India and dentist.
Close your ears and eyes with fingers and take a deep breath. Make ummmmm sound and release the breath slowly.
Doctor ENT he mentioned me to do this at least 3 min in the morning and 3 min in the night every day.
And the person in the waiting room showed me another breathing exercise. I can't find that online or name of that.

You have to fill your mouth with air close your nose with right hand. hold your breath and air in mouth as long as you can and slowly release the air from mouth. He says ETubes bubbles clear up if there are any. He said he did that 25-30 times a day for 3 months or so.

He asked me to join yoga classes in India who teach especially in breathing exercises... but I was madly running around different ents during my 3 week trip and had answer saying my nerve got weak and you have to get used to it.

@anusha that form of yoga was never mentioned in the Gita . You out you mind.
Excuse me. Please mind your language. I just shared what I heard by a person who said his tinnitus was cured with breathing exercise and that another specific exercise. I haven't read Gita or I am a fully knowledgeable person in detail regarding the exercise. I just shared a success story and the exercise which he mentioned to me. I was at a hospital and I had no chance to ask in detail regarding what was the name of the exercise.

Along with this bhramari asanam is also suggested by my ENT.
I did it on and off in Jan and feb. Also took ACV. Days when I do breathing exercises is when T is a bit soft.

Yes I am doing for 45mins every day. Intend to do for few months as 2 doctors and 2 people with tinnitus mentioned it could give some relief or go away.

@anusha in your video, the yogi remove his fingers from his ears and eye . He got tired half way . At the end he was in the right position. There is only one position to Yoga. The Buddha was a yogi too . He never stick his finger in his ears and eye. Ent in India believe your ears is ringing, so stick your finger in your ears will help .

Yoga and meditation is great. However, like everything else, at least here on earth, it is a man-drive activity. So like everything else, be on the lookout potentially for snake oil. Just like there can be godly priests, so can there be priests who rape. Just because there can be true doctors who heal, there are many who just do it for a living ... who is more a toll keeper (because he has a "license" to "practice") than a healer (someone who cares and can offer true healing).

Same go with yogis. They can be great ... but don't assume all are true yogis... if you get my gist.
