I don't think you are mentally ill. I mean even if you were, these are all physical sympthoms. You are not the only one. I am just trying to understand why you developed them several months after.some frequencies are extremely louder than what they were before and interfere with life almost as much with tinnitus. As I grew more mentally ill with anxiety, I developed a feeling of light headedness and nausea after a panic attack which takes its toll on me everyday in waves. Also out of no where a few month after tinnitus onset I got visual snow and heaps of floaters.
Was the ride different in any way than usually? Was it a bumpy ride? Were you traveling "up and down the hills" as you mentioned (because altitude can affect some people, it all depends, some people feel worse during the changes in barometric pressure)? One day I was sitting on a bus which is 70dB and a massive spike just came out of no where.
Lightheadedness, dizziness, nausea etc might all be vestibular issues (poorly understood by most doctors). Are there any patterns? Like for example some people notice drinking coffee or eating salty food makes them feel bad. Some people notice altitude changes or some movements make them feel bad. Some people notice weather changes make them feel bad (not that there would be anything you could do there). I don't know what to tell you except to avoid coffee and salt.I can barely do school work as I'm hit with the nausea episodes
