Is it possible anyone on here has experience in creating applications for iPhone and Android?

I was thinking Tinnitus Talk/Hub could be turned into an application with push notifications so you know when someone has replied or such.

Obviously it is up to the creators and runners of the board, but I think it would be good.

I wonder if the forum hoster has an option for application?

Oh yes if someone has experience of developing apps for iOS/Android, and wants to volunteer their skills to developing an app for us and the community, please send me and Steve a message... :)

An app is something I and @Steve have talked plenty of times about. Thing is, app development is really expensive (when you hire someone who is qualified to do it). It's just beyond our means. We're not even talking thousands, we're talking tens of thousands, or more, depending on the complexity of the app.

Not to mention that it isn't just "once-off" deal, one needs to maintain and update the app as changes are made on the site and/or new OS versions come for the mobile platforms, or when bugs are found, improvements are wanted...

It's definitely something that frequently lingers in our minds, hopefully something for the future.

In the meanwhile, you can download Tapatalk (iOS / Android / Windows Phone), and search for "Tinnitus Talk" in the app. It should be quite straightforward and will enable you to have push notifications for alerts and conversations, and you can also browse the forum within the app.

Oh so you can get it through Tapatalk.
That's pretty good.

I was just thinking like maybe if someone with the skills could donate their time, it would benefit users a lot :)

We would definitely support that :)

I wish that I had learned to code, one of these days I just might if I can ever get the time.

The issue is you need a Mac to make iPhone apps. Otherwise I would have long ago. But I'm a PC man.

I crossed over the mac-side 4 years ago, couldn't go back unless they really screw things up. My issue was audio, Windows was just so unstable, could spend a couple of hours trying to figure where a problem in the chain was. Creativity killer.

Can't find Tinnitus Talk on Tapatalk.

I could but I deleted the app, wasn't very good as it didn't have all the features.

If we had a TT app it would be good, it's annoying cause I always get logged out on my phone browser
