I went on a two hour car trip to home. My tinnitus is, like waay worse. What do I do?
Should I get steroids? What steroids? ENTs and doctors are dumb here. Should I try to get prednisone somehow? Is there literally nothing we can do in these cases?

Unless you were blasting music during your car trip, it is extremely unlikely you suffered an acoustic trauma.

This is very likely a temporary spike due to you ears reacting to road noise. You will be alright, don't panic. If you are really worried you can take some magnesium and/or NAC.

Likely your anxiety/stress is exacerbating the situation.

@pinklights98 I disagree. I've had spikes that turned out to be permanent worsenings. Isn't time of the essence? I need to do something about it.
